    Pro vs All Pro

Wanted to see what you all have noticed about the various difficulty settings. Like CFB25 I have noticed ( Thanks To A&S) the lower you set the difficulty level, the smoother the gameplay is and less glitchy/ snappy movements.

Yesterday, I had it set to All Pro and I swear my pulling guard ice skated 3 yards before his foot touched the ground and made a plant step. Diving tacklers look like heat seeking missiles being shot out of a cannon. Mind you my speed parity is set to 25.

When I switch it back to Pro w speed parity on 25, the lineman are making ground contact every time they move in a direction. Diving tackles seems like they launch themselves towards a ball carrier with weight. I have physics slider on 60 for both difficulty settings.

You see ratings play out more vs the computer trying to keep up with you or seems less likely of CPU boosting. Now to just find a good set of sliders for Pro level.

    Re: Pro vs All Pro

I've been playing on Pro for a while trying to get a grip on some of the new passing mechanics. It feels "really smooth" but I am having a hard time getting the CPU to be as competitive as I'd like. Even though everything starts out in a game feeling great, by the end I am always up by 2 touchdowns. On All-Pro it doesn't always "feel" right but is more competitive.

I also find the animations and the tackling just looks and feels right with a decent amount of missed or broken tackles by me and CPU. The passing was still way too high for comp% so I lowered it to like 15% but now I am seeing the CPU have way too many incomplete passes....mostly in the form of drops by wide open receivers. I am still experimenting. Good Luck. Let me know if you find something that really works.

For me, Pro was always the way to go in Madden. Better animations, stats, look and feel, etc ..

A few of us have been rocking pro for years

Pro has always played a fantastic game of football especially if you put in the work on Sliders.

For some time, I played on All-Madden, but about five years ago I switched to All-Pro. The last couple of years I had to go to Pro. This yera, back to All-Pro.

I give the sliders from Sword the credit for getting the game corretc at the All-Pro level this year.

I ONLY play coach mode because I am old and because I have owned every game since V1 and that is how the game started, so it is what I enjoy.

I have found the game plays much more realistic at pro even though for coach mode the entire concept of difficulty shouldn't even exist. But since so few people care about coach mode I am just happy it is still kind of in the game.

              Re: Pro vs All Pro

This might seem a little long winded so I apologize - But wanted to share something that might also help when deciding Pro vs All Pro

So I created the coach mode mod that is posted here in the PC section -
In exploring the files in order to create the mod I noticed several things that should be consider but many may not know are there -

In files there are buffs or nerfs given depending on weather you play on rookie - pro - all pro - Madden -

For example under QBs there are nerfs I guess you would call it to prevent INTs from being thrown - I do not know fully what the numbers represent but for example -
A QB on Rookie setting would have a 1.5 - Pro 1.0 - All Pro and Madden set at 0
Same would got for accuracy - the numbers are always the same 1.5 - 1.0 - 0 and 0

The same can be said for Oline blocking -
Rookie would have a buff of 1.5 - Pro 1.0 and All Pro and Madden where set to 0
The only place I saw these Nerfs/Buffs when building my mod where on the Offensive side of the ball.

Also as you know - Rookie and Pro are the only 2 that allow for CPU controlled defensive players. So if youre a coach mode player like myself then you may prefer one of these for a better Coach Mode.

When creating sliders, I dont know how aware many are of these buffs that are in place. So if you prefer Pro I would look at decreasing my Offensive sliders and increasing the defensive side to help off set the buffs and nerfs that are built in.

For those that play Coach Mode - The reason the QB never scrambles is 1 little setting EA could easily change - All EA has to do is when Coach Mode is enabled is have it also put a check mark in the file that tells the game the QB is now CPU and Not HUMAN - Thats all my mode does. Its the simplest thing that would could be so easily changed.

So I hope some of this will help in deciding on Pro or All Pro - If you like the animations then mess with your sliders knowing the buffs that are in place for offense.

              Hope that helps

                        Re: Pro vs All Pro

I've been a proponent of playing on Pro and lower difficulty levels, but I always end up struggling to find competitive balance vs. the CPU, especially once I go into Franchise. I thought I had found some balance on All-Madden, but I'm finding the CPU decision making to be horrible sometimes. I'll have to try out a slider set from A&S and/or PM.
