APB: Have you seen my missing All-American?

I'm in year 3 as the OC at Rice. I just won my ninth straight to open the season and my All-America RB/KR/PR had another solid game with 8 carries 64 yards and a TD to go along with 8 receptions, 94 yards and a score.

He was a little dinged up at the end of the game with a 'high risk' designation in regards to a bad ankle.

So I go into my 10th contest and suddenly he's not in the lineup. I'm moving the ball OK and figure he must be out for the game or something. As I keep moving along, I still can't find him when I try to sub him in for the starting RB in certain formations. Next, I go to the injury report. He's not there either.

The game ends and I immediately check my depth chart and roster. He is completely gone. Vanished into thin air. What in the holy Hell is going on here???

That's odd, haven't seen that happen yet to any of my players. Hopefully you have a save to revert back to so you can get your player back. If not, then you could play it off as a crazy situation where he got kicked off the team for something highly illegal or suffered a career threatening injury in a car accident or something else similar.
Believe in the ball and throw yourself!

Looks like if I revert to an old 'save' then I'd lose the results. I played two more games without him. I like your idea though... Would be pretty cool (in a weird way) to have Top Stories discuss a player being booted from the team or something like that.

Update. So I'm looking over the awards watchlist and I see my missing guy. I quickly go into the injury report and there he is. Out for 27 weeks with a broken leg. Ironic since I started a thread recently about guys not getting injured very often. FML...

With the way injuries are done in this game (which is definitely not great) unless the injured guy is a star or someone else you’d notice, a guy could be injured for weeks and return and the player would be none the wiser.

He’ll get injured, but you won’t be notified.

Your depth chart will be automatically change, but you won’t be notified.

Weeks later when he’s healthy (if he returns) he’ll automatically be added back to the depth chart, but you won’t be notified.

Because of this, I check my injury list every week before games (and to add to the bad notification system, you need to check in dynasty before game cuz I’ve had guys injured, listed in the main injury list, but not show up in the injury list seen in game), and I’d bet dollars to donuts that’s why I notice a lot more injuries than other players. I wonder how many players who complain about never having any multiweek have actually had some that they simply never saw.

Good advice and I plan to follow it. It was was so weird that he wasn't showing up on the IL in the couple of games I didn't have him available and then poof! He's on the IL and out for the season.

This issue should have been dealt with by a news segment after games. Scorecards, notable injuries, records broken and such.
