Has Anyone seen a Facemask called in Madden 25?

I have Facemask turned up to 99 and have yet to see a Facemask called. I used to see them occasionally in Madden 24, but never in Madden 25. Has anyone seen one called?

I raised the facemask slider up to 95 and sometimes it happens in M25.

Also the TOP 10 called Penaltys in the 2023 NFL season are:

1 - False Start (count per game: 2.25)
2 - Offensive Holding (cpg: 2.03)
3 - Defensive Pass Interference (cpg: 0.98)
4 - Defensive Holding (cpg: 0.65)
5 - Unnecessary Roughness (cpg 0.61)
6 - Delay of Game (0.57)
7 - Defensive Offside (cpg 0.54)
8 - Roughing the Passer (cpg: 0.35)
9 - Neutral Zone Infraction (cpg: 0.34)
10 - Facemask (cpg: 0.32)

Ummmm yeah. And turning penalty sliders to 99 almost ensure you won't see them. Never turn penalty sliders higher than 80, or lower than 30.

Because Madden sliders are always wonky. They seem to affect other sliders and even gameplay.

Yeah… sadly EA made a conscious effort not to have penalties part of the game. Well, holding is… I had a 1st and 50 because of 4 straight holding penalties 🤷🏾*♂️

But overall EA doesn’t want it in the game.

It's really annoying because I only had a handful of PI penalties. But roughing the kicker happens at least a few times a game. I normally only see roughing the kicker and holding penalties.

I haven’t played much Madden this year but I haven’t been seeing facemask penalties in NCAA 25.

I think the only difference this year as opposed to the last several with penalties is the touchiness of the holding penalty.That's sadly the way you can achieve the 12-13 per game.That and roughing the passer which has always been touchy.

Idk but I just played a game of NFL 2K5 and an "incidental facemask" penalty was called after a pass was broken up by the defense. I've never seen that before. The detail in that game is absolutely insane.

Exactly. For whatever reason, EA made a decision that penalties won't be in the game (though I don't really buy the whole 'EA doesn't want it' argument.' I doesn't make much sense that EA is ok with holding in the game but not, say, offensive PI.)


Madden 25 is the first Madden game where I didn't even bother with messing with the penalty sliders. They haven't worked in 20 years so I didn't expect them to work suddenly now
