Opinion Madden 20 or 22

I don’t like what I am reading for 25. Before I throw myself into a game I want to know what I am getting into. I have read that 20 (which I loved) and 22 were the best games. What do you guys think?

Frankly I disagree. M24 was my favorite Madden in a very, very long time, and to me 25 tops it. Granted I'm playing on PC so I don't have to deal with the same issues most of you do and am able to do a lot more.

I would certainly take 22 over 20 though. The scouting improvements and some semblance of a franchise staff would be enough for me, even forgoing everything else.

25 followed closely by 24 are easily the best recent versions.22 is largely considered one of the worst recent versions.

As a casual just returning to the series after more than a decade, 25 is fantastic even with its shortcomings.

Between 20 and 22 , I would probably go with 22 simply for the PS5/new X-Box version. If i didn't have a PS5 or new X-Box version and only had a PS54, I'd probably go with 20.

Between 20 and 22, I am going to dissent and say 20. Yes, 22 is available on current gen but 22 has the franchise corruption but that was never fixed. Play franchise at your own risk. You have to run coach firing off to assure you won't get the corruption bug.

Franchise corruption has to do with transaction history entries. Coach firing isn't necessarily going to save you. Corrupted player table binaries can still make their way into the table in addition to corrupted coach table binaries.

Interesting that it is both. I always figured it was the coaching thing. I moved on from 22 pretty quickly either way. But interesting to know it was more than one thing causing it.

Thanks for answering my question on 20 or 22. You seem knowledgeable. When I dive in I dive into a game. But I do it carefully to not waste time. I see that there are people that put way more into it than I do. And they know more. So I won’t play 22 because of your advice. I play Franchise in Coach. In your opinion which game is best for that? Thanks

if u only have a ps4 every madden after 21 was copy and parte

on ps5 my fav madden is 23 so much easier to make players

Man I love you, however, what kind of agenda is behind this question lol?! You picked a version that wasn't even on current gen, so it had zero semblance of physics which made it not even be in the running for anywhere NEAR best version lol. Then you mentioned 22, which was objectively the worst version of current generation, everything was stripped from 21 to prepare for the new physics in 23 and beyond, 22 didn't even have gang tackles anymore (which had made a return in current gen 21). What type of time are you on man, this is like a twilight zone question lol.

King... 20 was great. I found the perfect sliders and played it a ton. I don't feel the urge to get a new one every year. If one game works why stop playing it? On top of that.. i Keep reading things like franchise issues from every game after. I had 22 for whatever reason on my XBOX.. I didn't play it beacuse.. well you guys are my testers. I trust people on this site.
