NHL 25: OS Averaged Out Sliders (Plus EA Default Sliders)

    Hey guys,

Some of you may have followed my CFB25/Madden25 Threads in the past where I take all the great OS Slider makers sliders and combine them into one Averaged Out set so slideritus don't set in.

I went ahead and did the same thing here. I'm not sure how up to date I'll keep this, but its a nice way to take a look at everyones sliders in one place and see who has what where without looking at each thread when adjusting things.

I also included all of EA's Default NHL Sliders and my own personal ones I'm using on the 1st tab. The 2nd tab you will see the "OS Sliders".

Feel free to post feedback if anyone uses them or just anything in general that catches your eye on what everyone is doing in certain areas.

I just included mainly all the slider changes, period length, and penalty settings. Most of the NHL Rules/Game Settings check each slider thread, but mainly can just be user preference.

OS Members included are Armor, Cycloniac, AlTito, DarthRambo, gsize19, bostongahden, Occam, phillyfan23, voodoo_magic, TNK, and now PK's.

This is interesting. After I finish my playoff run in my franchise I will try these out to begin season two just for fun to see how it plays. Thanks!

Just added PK's Pro Set to the Google Sheet. I'll update the averages when I get some time, but upon first glance it really shouldn't change things to drastically with the set.

No problem at all. I haven't used a slider set besides the averaged out one in CFB and in Madden this year. I can't get away from slideritus once I start tweaking, which is what I have now with NHL LOL>

Yeah, as are all his sets. Appreciate you pointing that out, some may not have known that.

But in n all seriousness, all slider sets are basically designed for player lock. Because that's the best way to play the game and get the most out of it, but can also control everyone if you choose.

His numbers are not far off from a lot of the other sets when you take a look at em, some more drastic on a few but that's about it. Which is why I created the Google Sheet, to take a look at where everyone has certain sliders and where I can improve my own where the game pisses me off LOL.

Game 43 of my Pens Franchise below. I was a mess in this one, tired, but wanted to sneak a game in. Used my own sliders that can be found on page 1 of the link in the 1st post. I had made some adjustments, not many so they might not match up 100%.

Edit - No audio, no clue why. My buddy that watched last night said there wasn't any on his end either. It was working while I was playing, not sure what happened.

These are still working out very well for me I even had to lower computer strategy down to three.

Just lost the best of 3 series 2 to 1 , 79 Islanders versus Blackhawks and I lost the deciding game three nothing with an empty net goal the best part is players are playing to their attributes.

Hey Fiddy, just wanted to say I really enjoy your slider set! It’s great to see how well the CPU interacts, and the gameplay flows really nicely.

It’s always interesting to see the variety of approaches to slider sets—while mine is focused on CPU vs CPU gameplay with an attribute-exclusive setup, it’s nice to see that other methods, like yours, can create such engaging and dynamic results. Your set does a fantastic job of balancing the gameplay experience, and I can tell a lot of thought went into making the CPU react in a way that complements player control. I also use these sliders when I want to play myself, as they offer a great balance between player and CPU.

Nice. Thats good to see/hear. I've always found combining sliders just takes that itch off of constant tweaking, which maybe I need to get back to these when I try to play. It's been rough last few weeks to dive into my Franchise with everything just always feeling off for me personally.

One thing recently driving me nuts is the "feel" being off most games now. I'm not sure if anything happened from one of the last patches, but now for me to get the "feel" right I have to make sure I'm using an "unsaved" preset.

If I use my "Fiddy" or "Averaged Out" or "NHL Default" slider presets, the games are all just off from how they should be playing.

It seems we are back to the unsaved preset as being the way to play.

I am still playing the game, but it blows my mind it has clearly been programmed to play in the CPUs favor at various points. Sometimes I can weather the storm, but too often the CPU gets its way and it is infuriating.

As I said before, after playing so many games I can see why so many people refuse to do so and just sim all theirs. So many times it feels like the score has already been decided and some very strange things are going to happen to favor the CPU so it gets the predetermined result.

Thats where I'm at man, try to scratch a hockey itch by actually play a full 3 periods is impossible. I have to sim and just play the 3rd period and that be that anymore. Or just play as the coach and watch the CPU go at it.

                            Frustrating.

I also like to sim 2 periods and play one. I will always play the third period if I am the home team or playing a Rival, but like to mix it up when I am on the road. I will generally play the second period when on the road, but if the team I am playing is ranked higher than me in the standings I only play the first period, just to keep it more realistic.

I do also play on Pro because I really dislike the fact that on higher difficulties the CPU gets an advantage when it comes to loose pucks. Like when we run into each other and the CPU gains instant control of their player and i am stuck in state of not being able to control my player. Or when the are behind you, don't stick lift or poke check, and instantly have the puck on their stick.
