I have also noticed when I run 4-3 or Nickel the #1 on my depth chart at a certain position (I think defensive end), he isn't there. Any ideas?

Putting Players Where You Want Them
First off, thanks for the answers to the tons of questions I have had in about this game. I have decided to dive deep into this game in relation to recruiting, scheme, etc. Today, I decided to find my best zone cover players, and I was going to put them where I thought the defense was weak. I had a strong safety that I was going to put at one of the linebacker spots (forgot which one ROLB, MLB, LOLB) because his zone cover and other things were great. When I went to switch him on the depth chart, he wasn't anywhere on the list of where my linebackers are. Is this the way the game is programmed? He isn't a redshirt and has played in games when it is time to bring in second string.

Re: Putting Players Where You Want Them
Safeties can play SUBLB (which is typically on the field for Nickel and Dime) but not the regular Linebacker spots. If you want to make a safety a Linebacker, you can change their position in the offseason.

The defensive end in nickle should be in the RRE and RLE positions along with the RDT
