Complete cash grab by 2K. Not a surprise if you have ever played the NBA 2K series.
    MLB: Chicago Cubs
    NFL: San Diego Chargers
    NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
    NBA: Chicago Bulls
    NCAA: Iowa Hawkeyes

This looks truly terrible. Hopefully it's something you can ignore and enjoy the single player stuff like in NBA2k.

Have no interest in VC/Micro transaction Island.

Concerned that content will be locked to this mode or locked behind VC.

This feels like Disney Dreamlight Valley, Celebrity Deathmatch, NBA 2K and WWE stumbled into a bar, already drunk, came up with a list of features they could share amongst themselves, then shat out the final product that Paul Heyman was forced to convince us was a good idea.

I'll probably do what I do with NBA2K's City - load it up, walk around once, never go to it again, then wonder why I had to download 150GB for the damn game. My decision beyond that depends on how it effects the rest of the game.

A lot of the items shown in the trailer look like reskins of existing CAW parts - the same basic jacket with a superstar graphic on it or something. If it's that type of stuff, leaving the basic jacket in CAW mode? Cool.

But there's also a screenshot of a character wearing a Dude Love shirt. Can I not make an alternate attire for Dude Love, for example, unless I buy that Island item, unlocking it for use in the CAW suite? That wouldn't be cool.

Reminds me of a better crap version of the Battle Royal nonsense they added to AEW's game.

            Blah!

ALLLLLL I am concerned about is this Island thingie and it's unlockable mechanics affecting my ability to download all the MISSING CAWs this game SHOULD have. (Legends mostly)

Well this is something I won't touch. I have zero interest in this. My son might play it but he doesn't really play the WWE games too much.

The biggest concern I have is taking the time to create this entire new mode (though I wonder if they were able to pull any infrastructure from NBA 2k - I am not a programmer so i don't know how difficult or easy that is to do) mean that little time was spent on other areas.

I am most interested in Universe mode and my fear is that they just are putting back the old promo system they used previously as the architecture for Universe mode is obviously the same as before the reset and not as much time as hoped was spent on it.

Might be the second year in a row of a no-buy. I added WWE 2k24 since it was on PS Plus but I think I have played it maybe 3 times. Doesn't move the needle for me at all anymore and the things they are doing just aren't in my wheelhouse of what I am looking for.
