Jurickson Profar
I'm guessing that he will be deleted from this Friday's roster update. This is actually fine by me. As a Braves fan, I'm pissed at the dude and would actually love for us to be able to void his contract.Tags: None -

Re: Jurickson Profar
I was just coming on here to ask if we can still do manual injuries. The Braves roster is reallllly awkward if u are trying to figure out what to do with Strider/Acuna/all the random FA pickups the Braves have gotten to cover for them lol.Comment

Re: Jurickson Profar
They were on the same team...you would think he would have learned from Tatis. Perhaps he did...he put up numbers and got rewarded. I wonder if his numbers will come back to earth once suspension is over? This guys was a career below average hitter before he started hanging with Tatis....lol.Comment

Re: Jurickson Profar
That’s not entirely true. His last season in Texas and first in Oakland he performed pretty well and they thought he would break out. Then some injuries and defensive issues before his move to the corner outfield set him back and he had some decent seasons with SD. His start with COL wasn’t great, but he seemed to find it again when he went back to SD. He’s always had talent but last year was over the top. They were on the same team...you would think he would have learned from Tatis. Perhaps he did...he put up numbers and got rewarded. BA between 2019 (Oak) and SD stint 2 (2023)
.218 (Oak)
.278
.227
.243
.242 (Played 111 games CO .236 and 14 games SD .295)
That looks like below avg hitter to me.Comment

Re: Jurickson Profar
That’s not taking into account for his production, OBP, and WAR. He was a 20-70 guy at a middle infield position with a slightly above average war outside of his time in Colorado.
And if we’re just looking at average even, league average is around .243 the last 5 years, so he pretty much hit that (.237 technically for those 5 years).
He was a perfectly average productive player for most of his career who was a .240/.325/.705 with a total WAR of 3.1 in those years (mostly hurt from a negative defensive WAR). Not saying he was Babe Ruth but he wasn’t a below average player. Last year was definitely an anomaly though.Comment
