Regret of Next Gen
 

My only complaint about next generation, is the track record from PS1 to PS2, the addittion by subtraction. I remember Madden 99 was a superior game in all facets. The developers finally got a grasp on the game and its direction. Then here comes the 800lb gorilla(PS2) and they start from stratch. The features get shelved, retooled and become a new feature for next generation. I'm hope this doesn't happen but my guess is that it will. I won't vision feature, I want a toned down hit stick and on down the list.

What feature do you think will be taking out and comeback as new and improve, for annual releases as a selling point?

I already expect EA to reintroduce old features onto the Next Gen system within the 2nd and 3rd year before real progress is made. Only because, Madden already went down that path, hopefully we're wrong!

Nice post. I share the same concern. Im not sure what feature will be taken out but, like you Im wary. I guess Im more concerned that gameplay will have issues like it did with the first couple of Madden versions.

I heard that Madden 2k7 will have Season Mode. Play a full season (correct schedule) with your favorite team. :59: 2k8 they will add Franchise mode and you can play mulitple seasons !!!! next gen rulez!!!!!!!!!!!
