Yeah, but there's usually a press embargo. I had NCAA way before release day, but so site was allowed to post a review until 12:01 AM on release day.

Press embargoes are common, so that EA marketing can control the news cycle. I.E. all the sites talking about Madden on release day, not scattered about.

I'm not really sure what difference it makes. If Jon Robinson does the review, I predict it will be at least 5 pages long, it will largely talk about the list of new things that EA added to the game, sort've like a back-of-the-box listing of features, it will point out a few negative things, and gush over how deep the franchise/dynasty/superstar mode is, before slapping up a score of 9.3 or higher. In other words, much like EA's game, it will be the same review IGN/Jon Robinson has been feeding us for the past 4 or 5 years.

Some people around here will be happy with the review; others will talk about how ridiculous it is.
