Define "built from the ground up."
I made a jest in a recent post about the term, but it got me to thinking. What exactly does EA mean by "built from the ground up?" Obviously building for a system as complex as the 360, you have to start new, but does that mean we will see a new engine running past animations, AI and gameplay. Or, does "built from the ground up" mean we will see a whole new game from A to Z?

It doesn't mean everything will be different. Seriously, too much has been made out of this statement because in and of itself it provides very little information. |

Exactly..people say " its not new they have old animations in there" Well thats true but they re worked everything. So the old animations look alot better in my eyes..while there the same they look alot cleaner and smoother.

i think mainly its just frustrating because , sure they may have rebuilt the code, but some of the same crap is going on... i know coding is very difficult but they really have us wondeirng what NEW things did they code, if stuff like suction blocking is still there.
I guess we assume recode and think ,"oh... they'll notice some of their problems that have plaqued the series and recode it..." |

I still feel like this is a beefed up version of Madden06. We will all spend the money on it regardless.
