I haven't watched the movie yet, but I wonder how close the game will actually look to those screenshots. EA is pretty notorious for attempting to pass renders off as actual in game shots.

I would say these are actual screens. The only problem is that at this point a pretty boxing game does nothing for me. I need something with some depth and lots of custom features.

Is it me, or is this video WELL off the mark established by the early E3 video showing "gameplay" on the PS3? EA is continuing a remarkable trend of underwhelming in their efforts in the arena of next gen as far as I can see
Woof! That video be a dog Have fun............. |

Looks ok, but all EA games kinda scare me right now.....It just seems tehre not putting enough of effort in there games.

I was definitely more aroused by downloading the movie compared to watching it. Really does lack fluidity. I'm sure that I might try and play it though cause it's still hot. Hopefully they don't have the unbalance of the super punches. Before, I heard that 2Ksports picked up a studio to add a boxing game to their lineups. If they did, I'm pretty sure they might put some fire under EA's heart for their game. It was just something about that video that just lacked. I'm underwhelmed...but hoping they do add a lot of depth. That's what I'm putting my butter up on.......

EA with their next gen products show the full CG quality stuff first, then cut it down a few months later, then cut it down little by little until it reaches the final product. Then not only does it look noticeably worse than the original media but it has an average framerate with average animation.
I bet the 360 NBA Live is the lowest selling Live ever. Hopefully gamers are getting smarter, forcing EA to put some effort into what they sell. |
