Well the obvious is to run it in compatibility mode ....using windows 95 mode I believe. Right click on the executable and change it.Originally posted by e0820Hmm,, I have not been able to play it on Windows XP. I dont remember the exact error. Do you have any kind of special setup for it?
I am 3 seasons in and would like to continue my franchise.
If you've already done that....I'm not sure what it could be.

Google it and im sure there is a compatibility program you can run. I dont know why you want to play this game as its not very good.Originally posted by The_BeastmasterDoes anyone know for sure if FPSBB98 works with windows XP or not?
FSP Football was great, baseball was a mess."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

I didn't play much of '98, but I played the original FPS Baseball '94, and I liked that quite a bit. Dunno how it holds up today, but at the time I thought the graphics were decent, the atmosphere was relaxing, the controls were simple, the physics were good, and the game itself was pretty fun.Originally posted by USF11Google it and im sure there is a compatibility program you can run. I strongly disagree with that. FPS baseball was a great simulation and ahead of its time. It still stacks up pretty well for graphics based baseball. I know many people who made the trip of FPS baseball-high heat-ootp. And some FPS baseball to ootp.Comment

Well obviously the graphics arn't going to stack up to todays game. But it was a gorgeous game when it shipped. But, i'll clarify my comments.
What i ment was the sim engine/realism was very good for a graphics based game.Comment

I'm going to have to try and load it up on my XP machine soon then.
I really loved how their one pitch mode worked quite realistically, and the pitchers fatigue and speed of pitches actually were taken into account in stolen base attampts.
In many ways, it was a game ahead of it's time.
Too bad that sierra sports had to disappear. For sim league games, they were great fun.

I know the game works flawlessly if you use Virtual PC and install win98. That is how I have had it running for a while.
Virtual PC is free from MS now.
