I REALLY doubt it. Nowhere in that article does it mention sports games. You can probably only create role playing games, like first person shooters. Nothing big and exciting. Trust me it won't amount to much for football gamers.

It sounds cool but this is something you could do now with the right programs and tools. It'll defitnitely be an easier process but just as complicated to make a game as it would be if a developer taking it on. Plus, you gotta factor in what set of tools would be used. Like thmst30 stated, it would ethier be a FPS toolset or a RPG toolset. Those are the most simple of the genre's. A sports toolset would be possible but good luck finding a group of talented nobodys who know how to program AI behaivor.

There are similar programs availible today that lets you create your own games and I was into it for a while as I was trying to create my very own sports game. I searched all through and there is hardly anyone out there attempting to make a sports game. Its ultra complicated to do. Not impossible but complicated.

I think the football gaming community should stick together and not try to rip other peoples games.

The more different type of football games people create, the better the community.

Just stick together and enjoy what people want to offer to the community :)
