My Pretend Dynasty Message Board
If this were a real situation there would be fistfights in the street.
I am playing my dynasty as #5 Oregon going into #6 USC (second year). The problem is my original starting (senior) QB is coming back from an injury and ready to play. My recent QB has come in as a freshman and led me to wins over Notre Dame (35-19)and Washington State (62-13) where he threw for 396 and 382 yards and 8 touchdowns. He did stink it up against Washington and threw three interceptions, though he did drive me down the field in the final minute for the game winning field goal to win 27-25. To mess things up further, my running game has sucked since the new QB came in, I don't know why. I tried to run the same gameplan. So do I welcome back my original QB or stick with the guy who has led me to recent important victories and is probably my future. Or should I bring back the original starting QB who is much more versatile and put him on an extremely short leash. I wish I wasn't playing USC this next game. |

platoon first four series, then pick which one is better

Re: My Pretend Dynasty Message Board
The Freshman probably won't play as well in a big game. Most of this wouldn't matter, because you are controlling him... but, his accuracy might be a little worse than normal, and if tackled he could cough the ball up.

Re: My Pretend Dynasty Message Board
Just as a matter of honor, bring back the original starter. It may just be me, but I hate to see an upperclassman lose his job. If he's not as good as the undercalassman, that's one thing. But if he is, give the guy his job back.

Re: My Pretend Dynasty Message Board
original QB should start.....period.
A starter should not lose their spot because of injury. Granted, your freshman QB has played well for you but he did not EARN the starting job, he FILLED IN because of an injury. Just take solace in knowing that you now know that your freshman QB should / could be ready whenever you need him and will be ready when he becomes the starter when the time is right. |
Re: My Pretend Dynasty Message Board
Why exactly would there be fistfights in the street?
It's certainly happened in real life before, Tom Brady and Drew Bledsoe in '01 and especially in the playoff game at Pittsburgh. |
