A crowd of 46,339 came out to watch the Texas high school perennial powers at Texas Stadium, which is believed to be the second-largest to ever watch a high school game ever. Carroll, No. 5 in USA TODAY's Super 25, won its 44th straight game with a 22-21 win over No. 16 Trinity in a thrilling end to the Class 5A second-round playoff game. The line to get in was over an hour long at Texas Stadium, it ended up being a badass game. Southlake Carrol scored with 30 seconds left to win 22-21

I bet their would of been more if it wasn't for the A&M/UT game. If I didn't have to work Friday, I was going to make the drive.

Sad that these two had to play in a 2nd round playoff game and not deeper into the playoffs.

That still doesn't make sense. Isn't there a 5A state champion? Or do they give out multiple state championships in each size class?

It's always strange to me when grown men with no affiliation to either of the high schools playing lust after these games and the players.

For the playoffs there is 5A Div II (or something like that) and 5A Div 1.

What's different then going to a college game or NFL game?

HS football in TX is just that big.
