360 version any good?
 

i considering an upgrade to the 360 system for xmas. this game is one of only two that i really play and i love it on the ps2. i've read some posts that this game is not very good on the 360. can i get some opinions?

If you love it on the PS2 you may not like it as much on the 360. Don't upgrade just for NCAA. Make sure you will enjoy the non sports titles as well. If this is your main game I would strongly recommend renting the system and game first.

the main reason is it is simply time to upgrade :wink:

the new choops game is supposed to be stellar for the 360 and it is a complete bomb for the current gen systems. those are really the only two games i play. so, i would be in to the choops immediately and hope for a great version of this game next year. the question is do i upgrade now for these two games or just wait until next year. if ncaa is "playable" on the 360, then it is worth it to me to upgrade now. if it is simply unplayable, then i would probably hold off for now.

mainly just curious as to what other people's take was on the game for the 360 as i've not followed it up to now. thanks!

NCAA on the 360 is better than "playable" IMO.

Now that I've got the sliders where I want them, I'm having more fun with this game than ever before (even 2004).

I got my 360 about a month ago but I didn't purchase this game. I've tried renting it twice but the store in my neighborhood NEVER seems to have it and it's annoying the hell outta me.

Maybe I'll stop by there today again since I'll be "working" for home for a majority of the rest of the week.

It's worth picking up at a reduced price - I'm the same as you playing mostly college hoops and ncaa on my PS2. Hoops is a definite upgrade on 360 but NCAA is middle of the road - it looks pretty and is definitely playable but is noticeably (and sometimes annoyingly) stripped down if you're a serious fan of the NCAA football series....

Check the after Christmas deals at EB (http://forums.operationsports.com/vB...d.php?t=193178). Apparently NCAA will be on sale although it may only be with the bundle.
