Which would you buy: APF2k8 or NCAA08
 

if you were on a budget for that week, and since both games are gonna be released on shelves during the same week, what would you put your money on to buy? All-pro football 2k8 or ncaa football 08

personally, i think the ncaa series has always been a strong point in EA's line of sports games and myself, not having ever played a next gen football game, can only anticipate how this game is in next gen and the new, revamped recruiting aspect of it makes it only more exciting to play and buy...i might have to go with ncaa 08

but im hearing all these GOOD things about apf 2k8 w/ legends, customization, special abilities, and with 2k's rep and passion for sports game, it doesn't make this choice an easy choice at all....

which game would you guys buy if you only had to buy one?

I've already made the decision to buy APF on release date, and NCAA maybe in a month or two.

APF brings back the 2k5 glory revamped. I've always been a diehard 2k fan.

NCAA basically just gonna be the same thing as 2007 and the games before it. The only thing that interests me is now it'll be 60fps instead of the choppy hell that 07 was.

Well I am getting both. I also don't think you will need to worry, I don't think one of these games is going to make its target date.

Having said that and to answer your question, if I had to pick one it would be NCAA. The game will have far better legs for my gaming habits then APF.

NCAA is NOT going to be the same thing as last year as an fyi. They've updated a lot of game play mechanics and brought in the branching system. Also fatigue works to the point to reduce scrambling QBs..

Always you're choice. But if you enjoy EA-style football – which I don’t – I would say NCAA. Much more in it to keep you occupied. Nothing worse than waiting for a new game to come out, only to find out there’s not much to it. APF would be a good online game to pick up for a change of pace later on.

Probably getting both but if I had to pick just one it would be NCAA.

Well I wouldn't know, I haven't been keeping up with it.

That stuff is all great to say, but I don't exactly expect miracles from the EA team. That's basically their gimmick, creating but never really delivering.

I'll be buying it, but I'm not drinking their pre-release hype Kool-Aid.

I'm gonna get NCAA and rent 2k8, so if it were a choice of which to buy and you could only have one I'd take NCAA.

However if your situation is that you know you're getting both you're just not sure which you're gonna wait a couple weeks to pick up, I'd pick up 2k8 first. If you wait a bit for NCAA you know the rosters will be done for sure you won't have to wait for those. Plus the best part of 2k8 I'm sure will be the online play, so if you get it at release you'll be getting it when everyone else is playing it the most online and no one will have a jump on you as far as more experiance with the game.
