Any word on if these made it in this year? I want to play me some 05 Texas vs 01 Miami

Probably not.

Though, you do realize all the teams were essentially the same, just with 1 or 2 star players edited, right?

I had honestly never noticed that, but I barely touch classic teams. All I know is the ratings were total crap, I mean Chris Rix had the same overall rating as some loser known as Charlie Ward.

I do remember one year with the classic teams that they had the old school uni's. I loved playing the early 90's Canes with their best uni's (see left)

I hope, although I doubt it, that they have those uni's in this years game. I'll use 'em every game.

I was a huge fan of the Classic teams on the old systems and was very dissapointed EA left them out on Next Gen. Last year I found rosters by playmakers that were pretty good. He did one for almost every team in the game and assigned different ratings. I think he said he's going to do it for NCAA 08.

Yeah I really miss the classic teams, I remember the best game I ever had vs the CPU was when I took the All-Time Buckeyes vs the All-Time Wolverines. I was behind all game 9-7, they had scored 3 FG's and it was a classic struggle. Finally with 15 seconds to go or so I hit Joey Galloway over the middle and then ran up, without any timeouts, snapped the ball with 1 second to go and hit Eddie George over the middle for a 7 yard TD to win 14-9. Oh man that was one of my all time greatest games score-wise too.

i remember that, the old school teams like notre dame actually had long sleeve jerseys and leather helmets, it was pretty cool. i'd love to see how this would look on next gen...
