I may have found the fix!!!
 

Here is my setup:

All Pro
6 minute quarters
All Penalties maxed except Clipping which is set at 55.

The only A.I. adjustment to fix the interceptions:

CPU A.I. Interceptions reduced from 50 to 45!

Human Knockdowns increased from 50 to 55!
Interceptions reduced from 50 to 45!

My last game as the Bills:

Only 1 fumble by the CPU and only 1 Pick Thrown by each side!

Final score: Steelers beat me 23-17.

To avoid fumbling on your side you must cover the ball up and not be trying to sprint at the same time! You have to have the ball covered up before being hit!!!!!

To avoid throwing interceptions: DO NOT Throw to a receiver who is double teamed. Once you throw the ball, you MUST take control of that receiver and then use the catch button. You have to have patience and lead a receiver who has a little distance between him and the other player.

Hope this helps as I have now had 2 close games with more realistic stats. Spend time selecting your plays and learning both sides of the ball and I am willing to bet you will come to love this year's version of Madden!!!!

If it is a fix..Good Job..but not everyone plays on all-pro so were still screwed over

Try it on other settings and see. My point is the sliders seem to have helped so just tinker around with it and see if you can get the game to play for you.

Maybe the sliders are backwards or something because I just played a game with the INT at 0 and Knockdowns at 15 for both myself and the CPU and I picked off Charlie Frye 8 (!) times.
