20th year, hopefully they surprise the crap out of us. I'm glad i didn't pick the game up last year, i can't wait for this years. Since i didn't get 08 i'm pretty sure i'll get a lot more out of 09 the the people that are going to own both

Most likely more gimmicks and some way to play a small version of past Madden games. Never expect something big from EA Sports.

watch it be something like old versions of the game with updated rosters that you can play online or something. They'll put it in a package for $69.99 and call it a day. This is a marketing thing, not a declaration that they'll put out the best madden ever.

can't say im that excited about Madden 09. man, i'm still looking for a xport so i can play 2k5...

It'd be interesting if they decided to reboot the series, but I agree it'll probably be something marketing related as far as celebrating the 20th anniversary goes. Especially since last year was heralded as the biggest gameplay upgrade the series had seen since [whenever] and it still turned out the way it did.

After last year's NCAA and Madden disasters and all the pre release hype, how can anyone believe a word these guys say?
