Die hard sliders!!

Sup guys ive been playing this game nonstop since day 1 and ive finally got my sliders perfect IMO... For 5 days thats all ive done is tweak the sliders and now im ready to start my franchise First off im a die hard baseball fan ive played almost every baseball game for the last 15 years.. And believe it or not i think this game is a GEM!! I know it got stale reviews but with the framerate fix the game is a solid 9 IMO



Ok a little about my sliders .. The outfield speed and reaction times feel perfect to me you will see no more triples unless the guy running is fast in real life.. Also slower runners will have to bust tail to get a double on balls off the wall.. Also my pitch speed is prtty high but once you get feel for it it feels perfect.. And yes you can draw walks my advice is usally to take the first pitch unless its where your looking... The game may play a little tuff sometimes with these sliders but they feel a perfect match in between pro and allstar diffuculty.. Thanks to gobucks im gona add them with his attachment sheet..

Hey guys i have the Total Control Pitching set at 75 but thats pretty high and you can change it to fit your prefrence.. I caught on to the pitching controlls pretty quick is the reason its set so high..

Interesting, I think I might give some of this a shot. Human contact at 0, huh? I'd like to hear how that works for you. Also, the human and AI skills at 50 are something I'd like to try. Some of the other slider sets have them both at 100 on here, but the computer is simply tattooing everything I throw, even with power and contact lowered to 30.

Some of the other slider sets have them both at 100 on here, but the computer is simply tattooing everything I throw, even with power and contact lowered to 30.

Personally, I have the AI Skill slider set to 5 with Contact at 50 and Power at 35 and I'm getting a good variety of games and hits. Give it a try.

Sounds good, I'll do that. I'm starting to believe the skill for the AI almost overrides contact and power when you have it too high. When I'm hitting the outside corner with sliders and Pittsburgh Pirate batters are launching 410 foot frozen ropes, it's a bit of an annoyance.

I'm gonna give these a shot but I have 1 question before I do.I use precision pitching instead of the new pitching mechanic will that make a difference do you think? I don't see how it would but I would like to get your take on it.I've also been playing baseball games forever(I may be a bit older than you,I go back almost 30 years to atari and intellivision) and I think this game has serious potential if 2K can iron out the problems which I'm sure they will.Once I get a chance to get a game in I'll post the results and give my feedback.

I haven't gotten a chance to play a full game yet but just from messing aroundI can tell you that the gameplay seems really tight.The fielding was spot on,I had a good variety of hits and most importantly,the opposing pitcher was throwing a lot of balls.Like I said it wasn't a whole game but what i saw was encouraging.Once I get home from work tonight I'll geta whole game in and post my findings

Yes human contact at 0 . Its the only way i strike out enuff... Set any higher and i hardly strike out at all .. How you likeing the pitch speed

Great job with these sliders they are awesome. I was gettin worried cause I was hittin way too many homeruns and with the contact at 0 really makes a huge difference. I played 4 games and won 2 lost 2. One game i was up by 2 in the ninth with lidge closing against the mets and 3 straight hits and an error gave them the win in the bottom of the ninth. Even though I lost it was a great game and the realism really comes out. Ive seen balls flubbed down the line ,hit to all parts of the field,and some new animations I havent seen yet,good stuff. Anyway I raised up basestealing a little cause it seemed like even with a good jump i couldnt steal ,and thats with rollins and victorino,two fastest on the team. Other than that Im lovin these sliders,real challenge some games which makes it so realistic,and yea i might bump up the pitch speed after 10 games. Thanks bro.

Thanks for the nice words im glad you like them.. As for stealing i dont try to steal to often but when i do i use the new stealing controll.. Its where if u wana steal 2nd you get your lead off then press up and y button twice so your runner will get the best jump possible once the pitcher starts his motion.. Have you tryed that?? Alos how are you likeing the pitch speed set at 66?

do u have to hit y twice i just hit up and y and it turns red maybe im doin it wrong. And yea i think the pitch speed is good ,it does seem a little slow when im pitching from pitcher to catcher view but when im batting the pitches seem to come in quicker. I love the mix of pitches coming in too. Oh yea were you gettin a lot of passed balls cause i was battin and ai had like 3 passed balls in one inning,but overall maybe with a few more tweaks you could get these sliders dead on. where your at now, im loving this game big time.

Not using these sliders but thought I'd chime in and say I also have human contact at zero. Doesn't seem to make it any more difficult and yet gives your swings a looser, more natural feel. Love it.

You press up if you want to steal 2nd and you press ybutton twice.. It will make runner get best possible jump you can read it in the game hints in the pause menu.. As for pass balls i get a random effect

Quick question.....did you start from default pro? or did you move all sliders to the left then adjust.
I hope that sounds right....

*ok...just double checked your word doc., at the top it just says "custom" . Did you start from that,and end up on custom p?*

Sorry if I'm making this harder than normal....lol,I'm just trying to see where you started adjusting from.
