First of all, back the #&*! up. Even though we are fanatically dedicated to sports gaming, we must sit back and take note at a landmark achievement in gaming when it presents itself. And Grand Theft Auto IV is certainly such an achievement. Even though we haven’t officially reviewed it here at Operation Sports, it is worth stating that IV is everything we hoped for, and a whole lot more."

Grand Theft Auto Goes Racing!
Wil McCombs checks in this week with a lively piece looking at the online racing offerings in Grand Theft Auto IV. Be sure to share your online experiences with GTA Race mode as well!
" I know what you’re thinking. Why the Grand Theft Auto articles?

Nothing landmark about repugnant games depicting abhorrent human behavior. Plenty of garbage like that out there already.
Stick to sports reviews.
Oh, and the "go #@&! yourself" comments? Equally obnoxious. -

Re: Grand Theft Auto Goes Racing!
I'm not a huge fan of the "back the #&*! up" either, but GTA is certainly one of the landmark games of the year. I haven't tried the online racing modes yet, but they certainly have the capability of being very fun experiences. I have done some of the races in the single player mode and they've been pretty good so far, though the level of competition in the early races is not very good if you have a top of the line car. Everyone driving the same thing in online sounds like a nice change of pace from the other game modes however.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto Goes Racing!
Agreed, but considering most of us would be warned for saying that to just one person here in the forums, but he can effectively tell the entire OS readership to take a flying f, it leaves a bit to be desired. I more just think that the article didn't need that...swearing at me didn't add anything to it...but whatever...Last edited by mgoblue; 05-07-2008, 11:14 AM.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto Goes Racing!
it was a joke folks
you know, given the "colorful" language in the game and what not. it certainly wasn't cursing at readers.

Re: Grand Theft Auto Goes Racing!
I do love GTA, and I dont mind the cursing in the game or on this board, but alot of people get banned for excessive cursing, and also to link to a movie on youtube that has curse words every other word is not appropriate for this site, especially when it comes from an actual employee of the site. That is all, I just dont like double standards."Basketball may have been born in Massachusetts, but it grew up in Indiana." - James NaismithComment

That was my point...I personally don't care, I love GTA and don't mind swearing, but that's also why I'm not a mod anymore (my lax attitude makes it near impossible to mod)...I do love GTA, and I dont mind the cursing in the game or on this board, but alot of people get banned for excessive cursing, and also to link to a movie on youtube that has curse words every other word is not appropriate for this site, especially when it comes from an actual employee of the site.
