My roommate (Slymm) and I had a fantasy wrestling league in Highschool and it was actually a lot of fun. The premise is simple: you draft wrestlers, and get points based on their performance in the ring. We decided to start it up again, and figured after Night of Champions (when things get more sorted out) would be a good time to do our draft. We currently have 4 teams and are going to have 13 man rosters, which I will post after we complete our draft. I'll keep you guys updated on the league (weekly point leaders, trades, free agent signings, etc.) if anyone cares, and if not, that's fine too. I figured if anything, I'd pass my idea along, and any of you wrestling fans can use it with your friends or fellow OSers (thing is you have to trust the people you are in the league with not read taped results, spoilers, or dirt sheets) . Here are how the points shake out and rules of our league...
Win a match: +4 points
Lose a match: -3 points

World/WWE Title match win: +6
ECW Title Match/ #1 Contenders Match (or MITB) win: +4
Intercontinental/United States Title Match Win: +3
Women’s/Diva's/Tag Team Title Match Win: +2
PPV Win: +1
Gimmick Match Win: +1
Win the Royal Rumble: +25 points
Win the King of the Ring: +4 points
Valet/Accompany/Manage a Winner: +1
Valet/Accompany/Manage a Loser: -1
Beat someone up/ Jump somebody: +2
Get beaten up/ Jumped: -2
1. There will be 13 roster slots for each team. Up to 8 wrestlers will be “active” each week, while the remaining wrestlers on your team will be “benched”.
2. Rosters must be set each week after Smackdown on Friday (or the PPV on Sunday) and before RAW on Monday.
3. If a roster is not set, you will have the same wrestlers activated that you had the week before.
4. A win or loss by DQ bears the same penalties and rewards as a clean win (also true of title matches).
5. Working on an HONOR SYSTEM, no one is allowed to look at spoilers or dirt sheets while participating in this league.
6. Unsigned “free agent” wrestlers can be signed anytime (first-come, first serve basis).
7. Any wrestler acquired via trade or free agency, cannot officially join your team or be activated until the week is over.
8. If an “active” wrestler is traded or dropped in the middle of the week, you still get his rewards and penalties for that week and do not get those of your newly acquired wrestler.
