Anybody see the NCAA 09 commercial today. I saw it while watching espn. It had guy describe the way his player was moving to this other guy. It featured Clemson mostly from what I remember.

That commercial with the two black dudes sucks. Just show the damn game, all that isht talking with minimal game play video is not needed.

Yep. That's the one. EA only showed about 6 seconds of the actual game. The rest was just trash-talking. It (the gameplay) was almost all James Davis. I saw it during "The Top 10 Defensive Back Tandems" on the NFLN.

I think it's a pretty damn good commercial, when you consider who it's targeting.

It obviously isn't aimed at hardcore cfb fans. Why should it be? People like us already know about the game. The spot is aimed at the general football/video sports game crowd, i.e. the sort of folks who buy Madden but not NCAA.

When viewed from that perspective, it's a terrific spot. The average Madden fan will eat that stuff up.

Exactly. It appeals to the right audience and gives you enough of a taste to want more. EA is terrific at marketing their games.

The trash talking high scoring crowd is who EA caters to. Perfect commercial IMO :(.
