The folks up at EA Canada are nearing their goal as NHL 09 skates towards its September release. They are undoubtedly working very hard since they have a hard act to follow considering how well NHL 08 was received by most gamers. Also, with such high expectations, it's no surprise that the OS community has tons of questions when it comes to NHL 09. Due to this fact, we here at Operation Sports felt it was important to get the NHL developers to answer some questions from the Operation Sports community. So every Friday, until NHL 09 releases, OS will be running five-question-Q&A sessions with NHL 09 developers.

You gotta be kidding Me those were the questions ??? wow EA must have everyone in their back pocket , Real NHL you gotta be kidding me , why wont anybody just say we dont care about offline and we want everyone online playing cheesers scoring 200 a year .
How about some REAL dynasty Questions next week about why EA keeps neglecting basic functions that were on last Gen.

Please tell me whats so awesome ? After all our questions they still wont answer any real dynasty questions but they do wanna recreate real NHL as much as possible lol.
How about asking EA why it has neglected dynasty modes offline again ? answer because Littman has a goal of everyone playing online and if he /they keep elimanating basic last gen functions he will accomplish that . So play online and be part of us or enjoy offline exhibition games .

Rereading the answer a few times, I guess it's sort of been answered. They added overlays for be a pro mode which *should* be used in franchise. Seeing what's gone on with madden + ncaa though, assuming things are in an ea game may be a mistake. The answer jumped right into be a pro mode stuff which I guess can also be seen as answer - other than season + career goals, not much in the way of stat overlays was added (such as season series win/loss records, penalty minute leaders, PP/PK stats with league comparisons, etc).Comment
