PS3 v. XBOX360
 

Is there any real, substantive difference between the two versions?

I'm thinking about switching to PS3 because it seems every year my XBOX360 freezes or needs to be fixed.

I have both, the differences are small but they are there. The 360 version without question is the better looking version on my setup. I have a 1080p TV, and the difference is obvious right from the first screen.

The Ps3 version isnt as smooth online, which I guess is to be expected. I bought the 360 version first, and when I went to get online on the PS3 I couldnt take it. Ive played about 3 games online on PS3, and that was a struggle.

Depending on the type of TV you have, and if you intend on playing online the differences may not matter to you, but they are there.

Yeah, the 360 looks a little better. That's about it.

Not that I doubt you but can you post some pics? I would like to see the differences. I now the online won't appear but at least the graphical quality will.

I wonder why the 360 is better?

It does seems like EA has given it more attention but I wonder now that sales numbers are evening out if the PS3 will get more love. I bet either next year or the year after the PS3 sales will surpass the 360.

I hear Wii people complain but their are hardly any Wii sales. It does stand to reason that they spend more time where there is more money.

why don't you download the demo for the PS3 and 360, and compare them yourself first hand...

thats what I did, and I found the 360 to be slightly smoother, and it looked a little better on the 360 upscaled to 1080P on my TV.
The PS3 will not upscale for you.

But I ended up getting the PS3 version anyway because I don't have an XBOX Live Gold account, so rosters and online is free on the PS3.

Plus Target had Madden CE PS3 for $45.. and I just couldn't pass that up :)

I cant really post any pics because I dont have a capture card. Its resolution difference, and a digital cam wont pick that up. Download the demo if you can like boooey said, its obvious.

I don't have a 1080p TV just 1080i atm. If they are both playing in 1080p the resolutions levels shouldn't be any different. I thought madden was 1080p on both systems?

Heck I didn't even know the 360 had 1080p to be honest.

PS3 is 720p.
