Re: National League Divisional Series: Milwaukee v. Philadelphia
I'm still too excited about Milwaukee just being in the playoffs right now to care about the actual series.

Re: National League Divisional Series: Milwaukee v. Philadelphia
Should be a fun series. Two high powered offenses going at it. Philly has better pitching (especially if Sheets is out for the playoffs.) in the starting and bullpen.
Big key...can the Brewers manufacture runs or will they continue to be too reliant on the big home run?
Also...how much will CC have in the tank? He looked good against the Cubs...but can he continue to work on adrenaline and take down the powerful Philly lineupComment

Yep that's going to be key, if CC melts down again in the playoffs then i'd be very wary about picking him up as a FA next year.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

True. Sabathia just can't be relied upon in must-win games, can he? Also, I hear that Santana guy is 1-3 in his playoff career. He sucks, too.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: National League Divisional Series: Milwaukee v. Philadelphia
In all seriousness, the key questions are: "Can the Brewers get anything at all out of their non-CC starters? Or their bullpen, for that matter?" The likely answer to both questions is no, though after the 2006 Cardinals (Anthony Reyes? Jeff Weaver???), never say never. Logic says Phillies in 4.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: National League Divisional Series: Milwaukee v. Philadelphia
We all know the playoffs are a different animal.
BTW I believe Santana has generally pitched well in the playoffs his career despite the record.
Not exactly the same case with CC.

Re: National League Divisional Series: Milwaukee v. Philadelphia
Yep lets judge his poor pitching in the playoffs on 3 starts. Clearly he can't pitch under pressure.
Pitching poor in 3 playoff games would be reason #958 I would not want to sign CC.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
