    Star Trek: The Movie

I didn't see a thread for the new movie, so if there is one out there already merge this one into it.

Anyway, I handful of new pictures:

The latest movie and television news, reviews, film trailers, exclusive interviews, and opinions - since 2005.

The guy who plays Kirk has the smirky look that Shatner had back in the day. I must say those production photos look great especially the one of the crew on the bridge of the Enterprise.

I've heard that those who've seen advanced copies of the film are just gushing over it. I can't wait to see it myself.

      Re: Star Trek: The Movie

I am looking forward to this movie more than I am anything else in life.

That's your cue to laugh at me, but I don't care.

      I hope it's good.

I'm not a big Star Trek fan(I loved Deep Space 9 though) but I can't wait for this.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Prequel Kirk looks "smarmy". Sure Shatner was smug, but there was a gritty element in there, too. You don't want too cutesy.

Im really looking forward to this, hopefully it revitalizes Trek back into main steam acceptance.

              That bridge looks sick!

Forget mainstream acceptance, just give me a TV series. Hell, I watched every season of Enterprise. The more Star Trek the better.

                  Someone actually watched Enterprise? Dang.

Old School Star Trek, Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. That's it...well, and the movies.

No love for Voyager? I liked that show especially the first 4 yrs or so as it had a feel of original Trek in some ways.

Voyager had it's moments...but It doesn't compare to the other 3.

                      And then there is Enterprise...yikes.

Yep, I feel the same way. The thing about Voyager is that I despised most of the crew. Janeway drove me insane, Chakotay was milque toast, and the rest of them besides the hologram doctor were hardly memorable. The biggest striker against Voyager is that they pussified the Borg. TOS, TNG and DS9 are the limits of my fandom. DS9 was and is my favorite, I actually cared about Sisko, and OBrien and Odo, they were fantastic characters in a well written series.

It sucked, I know. I've always hated Scott Bakula and every episode reminded me why...still Enterprise was better than nothing imo.
