Updating Rosters without Live

Is it possible to download/update rosters without xbox live?

My friend does not have XBOX Live and I want to send him my rosters if not mine, at least try to download something.

He would need to get a datel transfer kit,as well as a memory card.
I have the 64mb memory card,I thought I had heard about issues with using the bigger mem card...but I can't remember for sure.

If all he wants is rosters though,I would go ahead and have him just pick up the 64mb card...I haven't had any issues with it at all.
