2K5 looks terrible on the 360
I'm playing on a 21 inch HD monitor hooked up to my 360 Elite via a HDMI cable and the quality of the graphics are worse than on the original Xbox. First of all, the color of the game is way too dark. I set the brightness on the monitor to the max and it's still too dark. Second, the game doesn't fit the entire screen. I have all my settings set to widescreen and have my consloe set to 1280 x 1024. All the other games that I play look fantastic on these extact same settigs. Is this a common issue with playing 2K5 on the 360?Tags: None -

That's your problem. You're playing it on a 21 inch screen. I'm playing it on a 42 inch and it looks great.Comment

I don't think it looks terrible, but it doesn't look very good either. There do seem to be some glitches - like the guy above me mentioned, I get the lines on the field flickering or disappearing constantly.Comment

I have to agree. I am also playing it on a 42 inch screen and it looks spectacular. In fact, it looks so good that my wife didn't believe at first it was a last gen game."Attempted murder? Now, honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry?"

I dunno, I've played it on both a large screen (57in) and a smaller one (27in). It looks pretty good on both. Clearly last gen, but excellent last gen...lol. I get the occasional ficker from the white lines, but it's still a good looking game.Comment

Re: 2K5 looks terrible on the 360
I have the same thing and i use a samsung 52" plasma (great tv by the way). Anyways, you can do one of a few things to help reduce the flicker every five yards. One is change your xbox display setting to 480p or 720p helps. When using 1080p, I get the most flicker. When i switched it to 1080i it was reduced but still there. Playing it at 480i and non-widescreen will reduce the flicker but it doesn't look as good.
What I did was turned down the contrast drastically and reduced the brightness. I also always have the sharpness at 10-15, very low. I then play it on 720p most of the time and it looks pretty dam good. If I forget and leave it at 1080p I willsee some flickering but I just deal with it.Comment

Re: 2K5 looks terrible on the 360
This thread surprised me...while it's not as great as next-gen, say NBA 2K9, realism...I still think this game looks awesome. I'm playing my 360 on a 42" plasma, using HDMI and set at 720p. The only thing I think looks really cheesy is Virtual Berman. In game it moves fluid, and looks great...I'll see if I can upload some pics.Comment
