AFC Wimbledon/Canada (Football Manager 2009)
My NHL dynasty is on hiatus because FM kicks too much ***.
Anyhow, you may remember my short running of Canada through the World Cup Qualification process. In that case, I had an, uh, illegal copy of the game that crashed. I took the logical next step and purchased FM 2009, so that won't be an issue. However, I also do want to run a club team, so I picked AFC Wimbledon. I will run this primarily between the next two posts (no one really posted in my Canada one anyways, but just in case lol). I will list the roster/schedule for both Wimbledon and Canada, and edit it as needed. I will now provide some info on both teams. AFC Wimbledon Founded: 2002 Status: Semi-pro League: Blue Square South Fierce Rival: MK Dons (formerly Wimbledon FC) Other rivals: Kingstonian, Hamtpon & Richard, Bromley, Fisher Estimated Value: $700 thousand (US) AFC Wimbledon was in the Combined Counties League all of five years ago, but they have climbed their way up to respectable status. AFC plays in a small, 3,000 seat stadium. They are one of the better teams in the Blue Square, and could move up to Blue Square Premier after this season. For those of you who don't know the details of low-level British football, the system goes like this: Blue Square North/South --> Blue Square Premier --> League II --> League I --> Championship --> Premiership Canada World Ranking: 81st Star Players: Dwayne De Rosario, Julian De Guzman, Rob Friend Fierce Rival: United States Other Rivals: Scotland, Mexico, Honduras Stadium: BMO Field (20,163) Canada, located in the CONCACAF region, are currently the 5th ranked team in the region, going into the second phase of the World Cup Qualification. |

Re: AFC Wimbledon/Canada (Football Manager 2009)
Good luck with this. I followed your Canada one and am disappointed I'll never find out how Canada fared in the World Cup final after you qualified.
