Re: Team suggestion to start an Association???
im running with philly.....good but not great team, got iggy and elton. thaddeus is up and coming. thin off the bench though. dre miller, and lou williams running point....should be good enough to get to the playoffs and compete as well as a draft pick/free agent away from the chip.
my bad you said struggling.... how about gsw or clipps.Comment

Bobcats! Ha, I live in Charlotte, so that's who I'm playing with. I've actually got them at 11-7 after signing Mutombo, and trading Adam Morrison for John Salmons to the Kings. They have some players you could do some damage with, Okafor is good for a double-double every game, Felton is decent, Augustin will be good, Wallace can score, and Richardson can get hot in a hurry.Comment

Like the above post, I'd say run w/ Philly too...They're my favorite team of course, but nevertheless are up and coming w/ some youth and starpower to boot.im running with philly.....good but not great team, got iggy and elton. thaddeus is up and coming. thin off the bench though. dre miller, and lou williams running point....should be good enough to get to the playoffs and compete as well as a draft pick/free agent away from the chip.

If you want to make them even more competitive make a trade for Vince Carter like I did...
The Nets were the 2nd worst team in my association, and riding a 12 gm losing streak. It was Feb. 1st at that point, so it seemed like the perfect time to get Vince.
You can check out the moves I made for Philly on my blog if you're interested.

After the move I'm even thinner off the bench, but got quality starters...An injury to one of them could do me in, but thats the risk I take and that's what makes it fun.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Team suggestion to start an Association???
I started with the Wizards but I now changed to the Bulls. They have Rose for a future superstar and everyone else is either young or tradeable. I may only keep Rose, Deng and Thomas on the team. Rose for obvious reasons, Deng because of his contract and I doubt the Bulls would actually trade him as of now. Thomas just because I like him and have a soft spot for him. The first year I will probably keep most intact but hopefully year 2 I can trade some of these young guys into a All Star talent to help out Rose.Comment

Re: Team suggestion to start an Association???
if you really want to rebuild, there is no better team than the knicks!trade for contracts that expire this or next season and make a run at some top top free agents (guess who?) but don't put all your eggs in one basket as you won't always get your top choices! target 09 or 10 free agents such as boozer, amare, bosh, lebron, dwade, t-mac and just sign one or two. even if you dont like them, sign and trade! the knicks are very obviously not built for today and are begging for reconstruction.Comment
