    Pass Rush

Is there a slider set in here that actually allows you to sack the quarterback. I know this is a common problem with this game and I cant seem to find a solution. Ive played every year since 2002. Im a decent player. Probably better than average but not great. I play on AA and have always had great Ds in past year. Im a UGA alum so thats my team. I cant sack the QB at all. He just turns and throws as soon as its snapped every time I blitz. No such thing as hitting the QB as he throws or a coverage sack. Any slider suggestions or ideas period. Thanks for the help.

    Re: Pass Rush

I've heard so many people say they can't get sacks, but I usually get an abundance of sacks.

The problem is that most of my sacks are coverage sacks. There is rarely pressure from the front 4 that leads to a sack from talent, but if you know how to cover the CPU's go-to routes on any given passing play then you will likely get a sack.

Focus more on the coverage and the sacks will come.

      Re: Pass Rush

Same here...I get tons of sacks...last nite in Tech's opener verses SMU, I got 8 as a team. But I play as a DE. I usually recruit fast DEs and have them shoot up the field. This causes the QB to step up and make a play. Half the time they'll run, but other times they'll step up and fire a 25 yard strike. I have great games and here is what I use:

MudTigers AA sliders, All cartoony things off, Hook'Ems run/pass ratio, zero penalty sliders, and my own offensive/defensive aggressiveness, 9 minutes.

The game plays well for me and I am happy with the games I play. Even had a 13-6 loss at Florida with UCF. 13-6! 13-6! Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. It was a battle of defense and both teams ran the heck out of the ball, but would stall. I, as UCF, have a disadvantage with their playbook, as the strength of my team is my receivers and 98 speed rated HB. But, UCF has a pretty crappy playbook for this type of team. I could have beaten them, but they had some pretty good last few minutes before the half.

        Re: Pass Rush

Tried those settings...ive been playing with them for a couple of games. THis was the biggest blow out.

        No. 18 UGA 38, No. 14 Aub 7

        Stafford 16 of 23 172 3 TD 0 INT
        Todd 20 of 27 203 TD 2 INT

UGA Rushing 38 car 124 yds
AU Rushing 14 car 16 yds

Had one sack and it was on a screen.

Same story. I blitz and blitz and blitz and he throws a perfect pass right before I get there all the time. Sat back in coverage and couldnt get any pressure. And this is with UGA.

These sliders feel a little better but I dont know what youre doing to get a pass rush and actually have the other team run on you.

I use the "Heisman 101 sliders" and I'm able to get 2-4 sacks a game.

              Give these a shot

Varsity when on defense(switch the difficulty to Heisman when on offense, yes I know it is annoying but it makes the game alot better

              Human/CPU
              Offense
              35/50
              0/0
              0/0
              45/70
              35/100

              Defense
              Awareness 40/100
              Knockdowns 60/100
              Int 0/20
              Break Block 0/100
              Tackle 40/70

I racked up 7 sacks last night with Texas against UTEP. With human break block at 0 it seems the cpu qb will hold onto the ball and not make as many off balance throws. Also helps the CPU run game. I had Alabama gash me for 300 yeards rushing as UL Monroe.

Make sure you play on Varsity while on defense though otherwise with break block at 0 you will get no pass rush. Also if you want a challenge switch it to Heisman while on offense. It only takes a couple extra seconds.

What I do to alter some game plan is mess with the aggressiveness threads, and run/pass ratios. You mess with these, and you have the second patch, you should have some great games.

                    Ive played three games
AA With capone2117 sliders and awarness at 0...got 2 sacks vs GT
                    Then got 1 vs Missouri
Then tried fist of rage sliders on Hesiman and got 0 vs FIU

All as UGA..FIU went 14 of 20 for 236 3 TD and 1 int and blitzed half the time.

How you guys are getting 8 sacks a game is beyond me. Im no rookie at the game so its very odd.

I control the DT only and he doesn't get many sacks. Don't blitz. The AI will recognixe the open man and light you up quick. If you play 3-4, only blitz the weakside LB. Zone blitzes can be effective. Standard blitzes very rarely work.

                        Re: Pass Rush

Fist, tried your sliders, only a handful of zone blitzes and played as DT. Im the second season of my dynasty as UGA. Lost in the Cotton Bowl the year before. Im No. 9 playing against No. 18 Michigan...tried the no penalites theory in half no. 1...here are the stats

                        First Half
                        No. 18 Mich 28, No. 9 UGA 8

                        Stafford 7 of 16 61 yds 0 TD 3 INT Long 21 Sack 1
                        Moreno 8 car 23 yds Long 5 ypc 2.6
Rest of Team 3 car 9 yds

                        Justin Feagan 17 of 24 159 3 TD 1 INT Comp 70% (82 accuarcy rating) Long 21 0 SACKS
                        Team Rushing 12 68 yds Long 21 5.2 ypc

                        UGA Score Pick 6

and in the second half tried the all at 100 penalty per your sliders...here are the final numbres

                        Mich 44, UGA 14

                        UGA
                        Pass 11 of 33 112 7 INT 0 TD
                        Rush 29 for 71 1 TD

                        Mich
                        Pass 21 for 33 205 3 TD
                        Rush 28 for 98 TD

Now Ill admit the last couple of picks were just duck and chuck and I didnt really care any more. But in the first half, none were thrown into double coverage...all single coverage. Had two sacks. One was nearly a saftey, the other was on a screen.

Screens were the only time I got close to the QB. I didnt hit him but I got close. Nothing was different. I dont get it but ive never been beaten like this before. Im not great but Im a better player than this. This game was literally impossible. If Heisman and not blitzing are the only way to get pressure on the QB then Im screwed. How are you guys pulling this off.

Ive never gotten 8, i usually drop back into coverage rather than going after the qb consistently. I'm dropping my pass block sliders to zero in my dynasty.. the users are killing the cpu on all american, i don't want to go to heisman because then everyone plays like a superstar cpu included.

my od is playing with a slightly easier version on fist's sliders (only a few changes) and maryland (hum player) will have the dlineman of the year with their de who is a dominating pass rusher. not blitzing i pretty key and the only time i do i bring the pressure to the outside. i averaged 2.5 sacks a game this year without a elite pass rusher. you will have more success getting sacks if you only rush four and have good coverage. also having your d awarness at zero will allow you to get more sacks. our sack totals went up huge when we dropped from 40 on hum d awarness to 0. dont know why but it worked.

How many of yalls sacks come on screen's. Im getting between 1-3 a game and most are on screens...If someone gets on the HB, the QB holds onto the ball. I get a few blitzing off the edge, but NONE from the line. I cant beat only with UGAs front four.
