Any Good "Instant Watch" Movies for Netflix?
They only have so many movies available for instant watch on the XBOX 360 and I was wondering which ones you guys found that were worth a watch. So far, I've only found Gone Baby Gone, The Illusionist and No Country for Old Men as reasonable movies to watch.Tags: None -

Pans Labryinth, it's in the HD section aswell.
The selection is slim though as far as movies. Some good TV shows on their though. -

I was actually thinking about starting a thread about this too. Seems there's little to choose from now. Hopefully there adding more pretty soon. I did see the first two seasons of Friday Night Lights in the TV section. One of my favorites...If you haven't watched it, you might want to check that out.My Teams

It's soooooo stupid how the quality is based on the speed of your internet. If the connection dips even slightly it stops the movie and says its going to a lower quality but usually ends up staying the same. Dumbest idea ever, let the user choose the highest quality and buffer the movie for a couple of minutes.
Netflix says there is over 12,000 to choose from, but there are no recent releases from the past few months.Comment

Pan's Labyrinth is a great movie! I'll definitely add that. Friday Night Lights is a show I wanted to watch, but never got around to it. Now maybe I'll give it a chance.Comment

Yeah I'd def be interested in a program like this is if the quality of the movie is based on the internet connection.
I'm def disappointed. I'm running the highest possible speed internet connection that my cable company offers. I just upgraded a few minutes ago to see if it would make this netflix program worth keeping. Nope.
I'll keep it for two weeks and cancel on it.
It's a cool idea, but will probably not be completely flushed out until the next gen systems.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

It has nothing to do with the systems I don't think. They are more than capable of streaming HD video. This is on netflix end and I do not understand why they wouldn't just let the customer pick and choose to let it buffer for an hour if needed.Comment

I've been watching the Ken Burns Jazz series, though it is disappointing that only about half of the episodes are available for instant viewng....Comment

Re: Any Good "Instant Watch" Movies for Netflix on 360?
I have "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room", "Jesus Camp", and "King Corn" queued up for my documentary fix. I also have some older movies like "Cool Hand Luke", "Being There", and "Strangers on A Train" that I've been meaning to see but haven't. But I've mostly been burning through the first season of 30 Rock since I missed about half of the episodes and wasn't a big enough fan to download it at the time... huge fan now, and it's completely hilarious.
Well worth the $8.95 even for just the regular features... adding the ability to watch in HD on my 360 just made it better. I'm not even a huge movie watcher, but I see myself getting a ton of use out of this.
And I guess the re-initializing stuff doesn't really bother me much.. once it realizes it estimated too high and reduces the quality (which is totally unnoticeable to me, by the way) it runs just fine and there aren't any more interruptions. It would be kind of nice if you could set general preferences -- like "prefer best quality" or "prefer highest speed/quickest load time" so that people who don't care about super-high quality can just watch without interruption, but it's really not a big deal in my view.Last edited by Stumbleweed; 11-24-2008, 03:47 PM.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment
