Living rosters is the worst thing EVER in the history of NBA games

I already had my doubts about living rosters from jump street cause of the horrible roster updates of 2K in the past. Plus the horrible default ratings. But now they have offically become the worst thing ever. The rating are absolutely HORRIBLE. All you have to do is look at the latest update to see.

D-Wade now has a 97 in blocks. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?? So now D-Wade is the second best shot blocker in the world. This is flat out STUPID. I could see giving up a slight upgrade for what he had been doing but to make him the second best shot blocker in the NBA.

Marvin Williams, Thad Young, Travis Outlaw, Yi, and Jeff Green all now have a 90+ THREE POINT RATING. I believe this is worse than the D-WAde block rating. How in the hell can you even justify giving these career brick layers the HIGHEST THREE POINT RATINGS in the game. Yeah they are shooting good right now but its only been 12 games. When did a 12 game run make somebody the BEST IN THE NBA?? I just don't understand this crap at all. Now they can just come down and yack up threes at will.

These examples here are enough alone to show that this idiot knows NOTHING about basketball and should be fired. I refuse to download a roster update or play online til this crap stops. I'll just do all the trades and rating updates on my own.

No one should've been paying these any mind from the get go, there are much better (and more frequently updated at that rosters here on OS for 360 and PS3

This is terrible. Why up people ratings after 12 games anyone can get get hot for a couple of games. I guess since DJ Augustin hit 7 threes last night his 3s have to be raised to over 90. What's crazy is he jumps to conclusions like putting McGrady on IR because he tweaked his knee even though he didn't miss any games and leaving Larry Hughes on IR even though he's been back for at least 2 games.

Even though you are right about the rating estimates , there is no doubt that this is the best 2k has done with roster updates in a long time imo. They are coming fast and often.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

You are correct in terms of how frequent the updates have been, already 2K9 has more updates than probably the last few 2K's put together. They have added probably the most missing players they have ever added, getting 98-99% of missing players in the game.

In terms of ratings, tendencies, rotations, and coaching profiles, I think this is where the users on OS have a much better knowledge of the the actual game than the insider. These ratings and tendencies make the gameplay SO MUCH better. This is the area that the Insider does not excel in.

just cus you have a high block rating, doesnt mean you're going to block every single shot. d wade isnt exactly a 7 footer, so therefore not much a block threat. and about this whole high 3 ball ratings, these are called LIVING ROSTERS for a reason. players are hot right now, so therefore their ratings are way up. didnt anyone watch the commercials? kg has a bad week, his ratings are gonna show it. get with the program and understand what living rosters really are.

Living Rosters are worth it just for the fact that he has added a good amount of players not in the game. CAPs can't compare.

cos---------I cant believe the number of people crying about this. Think about it. Since 2k started did you ever have them attempt to have every player in the game available???? This is just the 1st month so have some patience and give it a chance.

My take on the living rosters are these r available as a base roster now if 2k released a roster file like previous years and added 2 players we would be mad. There trying. There actually updating players, tend. And adding players and that I appreciate. As said by a previous user there updating ratings and injuries by the current state of events in the league. Everyone wants to talk bad about the ratings but every user is using the 2k insider roster as a base file and making there own edits which is how it should be. If u see a flaw in ur roster file fix it to your liking and quit complaining about that the 2k insider didn't do. He paid already by the way and he doesn't have to do anymore den he has already. If u don't like marvin williams, travis outlaw at a 90 3pt rating change it as many of u have already done. Or don't use the 2k roster. I bet no user probably in the world is making edits from the default roster. And before 2k released a roster on opening day everyone was playing with the 2k roster just trying to get a feel for the game den u made the necessary edits to fit ur preference. So use the 2k roster as a base and Shut Up!

Then why didnt Lebron get a -6 3pt when he was shooting 0/1329143158? It seems like he will reflect any players hot streak, but fails to lower a player when they are very cold. If Thad Young gets his 3pt raised for his hot streak, reduce Iguodala for his cold streak.
