    CH2k8 --> NBA 2k9 "import" players

    I was really bummed when I learned that you could no longer import draft classes from choops to NBA 2k9. I still wanted to play both games because it gave both games meaning to my legacy and association. I have come up with a ch2k8 --> NBA 2k9 conversion that translates pretty well.

    First, let me say that it takes time to do this. The good thing is, as you play both seasons (choops and NBA 2k9), you can edit prospects at your own pace. In ch2k8, I only choose players that have a draft buzz of lottery or top pick. I enter their ratings from ch2k8 onto this choops scout sheet.doc then edit the prospect on NBA 2k9 using the converted ratings.

    I know this would be much easier to set up on an excel spreadsheet as it would do the calculations automatically, but I didn't have the patience in setting that up. I may set that up later. If anyone tries this, let me know what you think...any comments, criticism, and suggestions are welcome.

        Okay my question is, can you edit the appearance and names of the guys in the draft in NBA2K9 to mirror the guys from your legacy.

          Yes.You pick a player in the prospect pool and you edit to your liking to match your player from ch2k8. Only problem is you cannot adjust a player's weight or race so you have to get the weight as close to the choops player as possible. You can edit the height, accessories, attributes, tendencies, college, and most importantly, the name.

                    Slightly edited version for those interested...choops scout sheet.doc

                    I lowered low post offense and defense (-10). Rooks were too good defensively and in the low post in NBA2k9.
