those who like it will say yes, those who don't will say no. Just read the various impressions and you'll get the good, the bad, and the ugly about the game and then you can decide for yourself.

I've been looking at the impressions for days now. But I just don't know if its worth it. Have to play the demo some more I guess.

The demo doesn't do it justice. I recommend renting it as you will get a chance to play the final build. The demo doesn't allow you to adjust the settings such as game speed, etc. Also, the patch addressed some of the game play issues.

The game is not perfect but I think it is better than people expected.

If you compare it to prior March Madness...Yes

It all depends on how much quality you want from your game. If you want a truly good game, you dont want this one.

If you want a game that has made improvements, but really isn't very good, you want this one.

yeah, i absolutely love this game. But lucky for me, I did not want a very good game...

This is a pretty useless thread. There are plenty of impressions about this game. The positives and negatives have all been laid out there for you. There are videos (check out Da_Czar's new vid!)....there's not one but TWO OS reviews of this game. Now you just have to decide what it is that is important to you. Graphics, gameplay, legacies, sim stats,.....all the answers are here in this forum. If you still can't decide, i'd try and find a way to rent it and see for yourself.

There is no 2k9 game, just buy this game and just ride out the storm lol

It is year one of NCAA Basketball 09 and it's already great, especially post-patch.

If you have to play a college hoops game in 2009, then yes, you really have no choice. Compared to other games though, it's not worth $60. I would personally wait a few more weeks when the game is on sale or being sold on Ebay for much less.

No Sh.....it Do not buy this game if you have a need for the 60 plus bucks you will lose. You will waste countless hours downloading rosters, patches, fixing sliders, and eventually bi...tching about the lack of realism that EA can make millinons off of.

What the hell is your problem? I've read countless useless post of you trolling the NCAA Threads! GTFO with all these pointless post!

This is a great game. You make it very clear you have something against EA for whatever reason. But grow the **** up already! Damn!!!

Probably not worth 60 plus bucks, but a good EFFORT from EA. I do agree to some extent with ragzy about the countless hours of dealing with rosters, patches, and sliders though. The simulation engine is my biggest problem with this game. In my first NCAA tourney, 3 number 16 seeds upset #1 seeds which has never happened even once. One of those 16 seeds went to the elite 8. Pretty jacked up, but if you can get past these issues, the game is pretty good. Gameplay is not too shabby.

If guys don't like the game, then that's cool with me. But I'm trying to understand this whole "countless hours on patches, rosters, and sliders" beef. The patch takes literally a few seconds to download. The rosters take very little time to download, unless you're doing them from scratch. And the sliders are just a matter of tweaking to your liking, which is the case with every sports game I've played, so it's not unique to just this game. Bottom line is if you're spending "countless hours" trying to get rosters and patches downloaded, you might want to make sure your internet cable is plugged in!

I personally dont think its worth $60. I like the game but I think it pales in comparison to CH2K8. Of course this is my opinion so take it for what its worth. I think if EA discounted the game to about $19 or maybe even $29 the way 2K did for some of their games, I would say pick it up.

Its worth owning for a quick mindless pickup and play arcade game but I just feel it's a very shallow interpretation of the sport that doesnt take into account enough variables and offer enough variety out on the court.

However, it does offer a change of play style if your getting tired of the 2K Hoops game.

I own both but still mostly play CH2K8, but will still pop in NCAA every so often when I want a different experience

At first I wasn't going to get because you can't play other games in season mode. Then I decided to.

Now that I have it I find myself playing it wayyyy more than I imagined. This is really a fun game.

The college atmosphere is just insane!!!!
