Re: Charging fouls are out of control

I was thinking the exact same thing, it's ridiculous. Like even when the defender doesn't fall over, you can get a charging foul for it. And you can hardly back a defender down for longer than a second or 2 without getting a foul. It's really frustrating.

Another knock I have is how easy it is to make it inside. You can pretty much just press X, when inside the paint, and the shot will most likely fall. I'm getting tired of it.

I think this game is great, don't get me wrong, but there's still quite a few flaws. There's some awesome potential though.

Re: Charging fouls are out of control

I've always wondered how its a charge when both guys go up and collide, I imagine charges as more of my guys running down the other guy or lowering his shoulder, not blatantly getting fouled by the other guy then getting the foul on him.Comment

Re: Charging fouls are out of control

 1) Max out your charge/block slider and see if that gets you a better result. (it worked for me)

 2) When backing down a defender, you cannot continously use the L stick to back him down or he'll flop thus resulting in a charge, block(slider maxed out) or no call. Use the R stick to make manuevers, and if going to use the L stick, don't press it directly at the defender for a lengthy time.

 3) If you're trying to use the L stick to back the defender down and its not working, throw the ball bakc out of the post and start again.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I honestly don't see anywhere near enough charges, maybe one or two per game."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

play against UNLV. T-Will picked up 3 in the first half. And then fouled out in the second half due to being called for charging. No I'm not kidding.

He had 4pts 1reb 1ast, 5 fouls in 11 minutes of basketball. I was pissed.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Charging fouls are out of control

I think the main problem is getting out of the habit of continuing to "back it in" when you are in the post. For so many years we would just keep backing a player in until the cpu wouldn't let us....now we can't be as aggressive or the cpu will "flop" causing a charge.

....getting to know how to do all of the dynamic post control moves really helps to solve this problem. I love the post moves (and the ease of pulling them off) in this game."Basketball is my favorite sport

Re: Charging fouls are out of control

3 times, their C/PF stepped in and took the charge and they were legit. Twice were calls where the defender and I collided and they determined that I was at fault.

I'm pretty sure Tark the Shark and Larry Johnson were 2 of the 3 officials that game. And to make matters worse, this game was a Freedom Hall. Re: Charging fouls are out of control

imo you can never get enough charges in a basketball game so i have no clue at all why you guys are complaining because you probably see a total of 10 charges a game on average in real basketball so stop complaining and understand that these r realistic totalsComment

Re: Charging fouls are out of control

First of all, I don't think anyone was really complaining, but rather discussing the idea of charging fouls. Second, 10 charges a game? Wow! I don't see that many. I'm not sure that there have been a total of 10 charges called in UofL's 3 games total and that includes both teams. And finally, and probably most important, thank you for providing our opinion's for us. Re: Charging fouls are out of control

Not to mention the fouls are called even when both guys go up which is highly unrealistic. There have been several times where my guy stands in and takes a charge but its not called, I'd rather those get called then both guys jumping upComment
