Saw this ability, but not sure if its effective. Anyone used it?

Actually, it works. It's like a version of Acrobatic Catches. I've run with Ernest Givens and Henry Ellard, and I've noticed that they're able to go get bad balls more than receivers without Hops or Acrobatic Catches. The animations are different, though. For Acrobatic Catches guys will do acrobatic stretch-leap sort of things, whereas with hops they'll just jump to snag a bad ball. While their reach is better because of this ability, they don't always hang on. Givens is actually better at holding on after a hit than Ellard in my experience.

Anyway, it's not a pointless ability, but it doesn't show up on every play, just badly thrown balls and Max Passing throws over the shoulder where the guy has to jump.

Yeah it definitely works I had it on CaP Ronald Curry it mostly shows up on sideline & over the middle passes

I'm thinking hops could get real nasty on a CAP... like a Randy Moss

I gave it to Calvin Johnson. Made him a Gold Star, Acrobatic Catches, Deep Threat, and Hops. Was either Hops or Speed Burner, but I decided to go with Hops...although I may change it back if I feel it to be necessary.

if you liked NFL 2K5 then yea for APF price tag go for it its only 19.99 or 9.99 now anyway..oh and buy it new give 2K some money :P
