Hand the ball to the ref, young man.-Rocky Balboa"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that." -
Re: Barry Sanders Jr.
Nice run, but it looked really lucky to me. He was wobbling all over the place, and looked totally out of control - it just seems like he got kind of lucky on that to me, and didn't trip over somehow.Comment

Re: Barry Sanders Jr.
Have you played football before? Not trying to be a jerk but that seems kind of uninformed. You practice lift weights watch film and then you go out and try to execute but there are 11 players on the other side trying to do the stop you for a highschool RB that run was really really impressiveComment

Isn't that what makes someone good, the ability to stay on your feet like that?Comment

Re: Barry Sanders Jr.
He's got a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go if he ever wants to fill his pops shoes, but with those genes he should at least be a decent back.Comment

What I'm saying is that it was one run - and it looked more lucky to me than anything. I haven't bothered to look for any more videos to see if he's able to do that constantly, though.Have you played football before? Not trying to be a jerk but that seems kind of uninformed. Re: Barry Sanders Jr.
consistantly???? He is a freshman....He has alot of growing (size wise), Football IQ wise, games to be played, ect ect.
basicly the kids has a crap load of football yet to be played. It was a hell of a run for a highschool freshman.
Like grunt said though he has a long way to go before he is filling his dads shoes.....which in my opinion will never happen.
BUT gotta give credit where credit is due. It was a nice run, he showed stength, balance, size, vision (hurdle), and break away speed soooooo yea it was a NICE run.Comment

Re: Barry Sanders Jr.
Yes... Age doesn't really matter - the best players are consistent. I think it's the most important aspect in sports. A great play or game here and there is great, but the great players do it game in and game out; even at the HS levels.
I'm not knocking the guy, I was simply saying it was one run, and it was very nice - but also just kind of looked lucky. I wasn't trying to start anything.Last edited by MC Fatigue; 12-12-2008, 01:39 PM.Comment

Re: Barry Sanders Jr.
No one is jumping on you timmay, we just saying you are a bit off in your thinking for this level of football.
Even barry himself was not doing those runs consistantly. Sure he popped his share. But it is a combo of lucky, talent, and right time - right place. It might "look" lucky but he still had to executeComment
