I've seen enough in 07 and 08 and read enough about 09 to know I'm getting it so I purchased my copy today. Any one else pre orderd yet?

Pre-Ordered mine right before Christmas! My b-day is March 2nd so it will be a nice little birthday present. If it still comes out on March 3rd!

I don't preorder games either. It's not necessary. There are plenty of copies available the day of release in the various stores. Preordering is a scam, and whenever I preorder a game at a place like Gamestop, I usually find it somewhere else a day or so earlier than when the idiot at Gamestop usually calls me. The last two years, Target has had it on Tuesday the week of release, and the Gamestop directly across the street didn't have their copies available until Wednesday.

Why preorder? Go to WalMart or Target the day of release. You'll have it. The only way preordering would be beneficial is if they were to take a % off the final price if you preordered early. But as it stands now, you can walk into any non-preordering store the day of release and find the shelves full.

I don't think its necessary to preorder games. I have plenty of places within 10 minutes around me that I don't "need" to preorder a game to guarantee a copy. Plus, I have a spot where I can at times get games early and I'm hoping that '09 The Show is one of them. Won't know that until within a week or two of its release.

They should do something like that. Preordering helps them to determine their inventory so there should be some kind of reward, a small discount or something. Last game I preordered was NFL2k5 (I paid in full aswell, I figured I would be gauranteed a copy) and I remember asking at Gamestop each day but not getting until about 2 days later then everywhere else had it.

I don't bother with pre-ordering sports games, especially. I can't wait till it comes out though I just got a PS3 too.

I pre-ordered it because we just got a Game Stop a couple months ago and the only other place within 30 miles is Wal-Mart.
I figured better be safe then sorry.

I don't blame you. If I had to drive a significant distance, then I would preorder in an instant because of the chance of "wasting" gas looking for the game.

I hope Best Buy has it at the same time as Gamestop...I would rather give my money to Best Buy than Gamestop...gamestop is annoying....
