Tips for an online dynasty
 

Me and about 5 friends are setting up an online dynasty. Does anybody have any suggestions about things that work and things that don't?

That is a very broad question. It all depends on what type of experience you are after. My recomendation to you is to read multiple threads prior to starting your OD.

Establish right away if you are going to save offline and manually get everyone's players to stay or if you are going to let them leave. That is a huge one.

establish some ground rules for CPU games... IE: dont run up scores and don't cheese the stats... no heisman whoring etc.

Also, make sure you have ACTIVE owners... nothing will kill a league quicker than 6 guys waiting on 2 to get their stuff done.

Make sure everyone plays the same style.

If you play it straight, then nothing will irritate you more than having to play someone who brings the clown show...15 yard dropbacks, CBs at LB, etc.

Are you saying you can't convince players to return for another year? It just wastes recruiting time

make sure to have a set of sliders and difficulty level that everyone is comfortable with

Make the sliders as hard as you possibly can. Our dynasty has had plenty of human losses against the computer early on. It really adds to the depth of the game.
