Football recruiting is an inexact science, but Bryce Brown is considered a potential star.
Along with Miami, his main suitors are Southern California, Oregon, Tennessee, Auburn and Kansas State. He has two official visits remaining and is expected to take them at Auburn, Tennessee or U.S.C., but may not decide on a college until mid-March.
Butler said he would explore the possibility of Brown’s skipping college and going to the Canadian Football League next season if approached by a team. He mentioned the idea of a team paying Brown $5 million a year for three years. But the salary cap for entire C.F.L. teams is $4.2 million Canadian.
“If they were talking about any amount of real money,” Butler said, “I’d guarantee it.”

From the sounds of it he is now full fledged agent, the NCAA should look very closely at Brown's eligibility if he signs anywhere. The implications are certainly in the article to raise questions about what Miami is doing with this guy too.

It sounds like this guy is an agent for sure. He is trying to drum up interest from pro teams and is giving out price tags. Brian Butler is a total slimeball that is probably going to eff up Bryce Brown's football career.

Looks like he's taking the Brandon Jennings approach to things... well, it hasn't worked out so well for Brandon. Brandon said publicly he didn't like playing in Europe. Maybe Bryce should take notes.

1. You just gave up your agenda. It was painfully obvious to me, though.

2. This pimp Butler is telling everyone his kids got offers from Miami, which is far from the truth. Huldon Tharp couldn't sniff a Cane offer. His name came up once this recruiting season and that's because of Butler's lie. Riley Spencer's name never appeared on Miami forum boards. Never heard of him. Butler is using Miami as his alibi so he sounds credible, but he is using religion and money to further his cause. Dude is a snake.

EDIT: Shannon said he's never seen a street agent use a website and charged money for content.

In all honesty, this whole debacle has gotten a bit irritating. As much as I love Bryce the player, this is not a do or die situation for Miami. Yes, with him, Miami's a much better team. Without him, we'll be fine.

I'm worried that Bryce is going to become a cancer if he's really in support of this douche Butler. I don't know how he can keep himself associate with this punk for long.

I just want this to be over with. Randy's doing a good job with the kids he's bringing in and their character and I'd rather not have one kid who has yet to take a college snap ruin it.

He doesn't look so great. At least, not as good as some of the other backs I've seen video on. Like BiggestK, I'd really question whether I'd even want a guy with this baggage on my team anyway.
