Who do you think is the most dominate player in the game?
 

I have had the game only about 2-3 months, and have tried less than 1/2 the players on the game, so take my opinion w/ a grain of salt. My answer is Dan Marino, because of the rocket arm, laser arm, quick release combination. I can make throws that I wouldn't dare make w/ other qbs. I love how he zips it in there so accurate on post/ corner routes. His quick release allows me to play w/ an all generic o line too. I would think if used appropriately Gale Sayers might also beable be unstoppable.

As you mentioned, it mostly depends on how one uses a certain player. If he is used appropriately, then that player can be dominant. That being said, I feel that these are the most "dominant" players in the game.

QB Dan Marino: Without question, Marino is the most dangerous QB in the game. I prefer Joe Montana/Steve Young as they fit my style of play, but Marino has the arm and a very quick release.

Any one of these RBs: Earl Campbell, OJ Simpson, or Barry Sanders. Unfortunately, Gale doesn't fit in with these three. Sayers is a dominant return man, but I never had success with him in the running game. Earl has Power and Branching Tackles, coupled with Stamina Bonus. Very lethal indeed. Barry is the best cutback runner in the game; And, OJ has the speed to take a nice little four yard run into the second and third levels with very little effort. I'll give the nod to OJ here.

WR Jerry Rice: I would give Raymond Berry a mention here, but I doubt Berry could excel in a vertical passing scheme. Jerry Rice fits any passing offense, whether it be vertical, play-action, or a Walsh-esque WCO.

FS Ronnie Lott: This one doesn't need any explaining. Lott owns. That is all.

I have felt helpless against and invincible with all these guys at one point in time.

I probably should mention Dan Marino in some way. I used him in Armchair QB's 1... and while he didn't put up the BEST stats... everyone was completely geared to stopping him and in the end they couldn't as he won the championship. His arm threads the ball into any defense.

At the silver tier I always cringe when I see Don Maynard.

Forget about passing to his side of the field if he's in the game. He's also very good against the run.
