Set your game length settings to 4 or 5 innings and problemo fixed!

ummm, its an 4 inning demo. I'll let you know in about a month though.

They have definetley improved on this but I can't honestly answer that question because we are only basing it on games that last 4 innings and if it goes into "extra innings" it's most likely a pitcher's duel. The most hits I have had in 4 innings well actually 3 batted innings is 6 hits. I have not reached 7. Some games you do get more hits then others. Have to keep in mind that this still is a build from at least 4-6 weeks ago (I think?) and like I said it's just too hard to tell based on 4 inning games but I would say at the least it's definetley improved from previous years and it's the best year so far.

I will add here that I think some of the problem with too many hits has to do with the confidence of pitcher's and how pitcher's can lose their confidence pretty quick and all of a sudden start throwing "fat" fastballs that catch too much of the plate. I guess it comes down to good pitching always beats good hitting and there are sliders like CPU pitch control and CPU pitcher consistency that we can always tweak.

It's a pretty safe bet that LEGEND mode will put an end to those types of games.

this problem is gone.....

i've had this problem the last 3-4 iterations of the series but legend mode this year is just so awesome for challenging hitting...

the sliders really work , so if you want a greater challenge you can mess around and get significant results.

Of course there will be those who will need a Super Legend mode, but the sliders work. Run all your hitting sliders down on LEGEND and get back to us. (watch someone is going to post that they got 11 hits on LEGEND this way, lol). If so, Super Legend in 2010.

I just had another great game. After putting contact down all the way I realized that the only way I get outs is on hard hit balls and strikeouts. Well I kept contact at default and the only thing I did was lower solid hits all the way to the left and I only managed 3 hits against Kazmir and they were all different type of hits. Absolutley beautiful. I hit one off the top of the wall with Ibanez on a power swing. The absolute best part about it that makes me extremely happy is the fact that it was pulled. High and inside fastball off the high wall out in right center field. I got my hands inside quick enough and drove it.

To be completley honest it has improven A LOT. Is it fixed where they don't need to tweak it at all next year?? Absolutley not, there will be always room for tweaking with batted ball physics but man they did an excellent job in fixing the hitting this year. I love the faster bat speed. It really makes the hitting experience that much better because you really have to pick up the ball out of the pitcher's hand and be patient just like in real life.

Dave, I've had three pitches that were busted in on my hitters hands. Everyone of them went to the opposite field, two just over the infielders heads, one to the fielder in the air. Have you seen this? Great improvement from last year.

I was getting sick of getting whooped on legend, so I went back to HOF and went back-to-back-to-back-to-back off Kazmir.

Aub,

Sliders. Play HOF and, if you think you have too much power, run your power sliders down, solid hits down. But really, playing TB vs. Phil vs. TB vs. Phil vs. TB (lol) with the same two pitchers probably isn't going to give a good overall general feel for what this game can do.

I am digging the Legend mode right now. I'm 1-9 but have found myself losing due to bonehead mistakes on my part. Even the game I won I made a bonehead move or two, but the cpu made more.

This game is freakin' awesome.

And, I just hit a screamer over Matt Joyce's head.
