Or do you guys have the same issue where you can't play a season/dynasty with your home team?
I mean I love the Brewers but when it comes down to it I always play a season with a different team, I dont know if it's because I watch all their games and get burnt out playing with them too or if it's because their pitching sucks.......just kidding it does not suck
If you can't play with your home team why is it?
Do they suck......shout out to Nationals fans
Is it because you know you wont win a World Series.......shout out to Cubs fans

Interesting.

I'm the exact opposite - I have a hard time playing with another team besides the Dodgers. I think I might start a franchise with another team while I wait for Knight's rosters. I like it when the Dodgers don't have the strongest team because it provides more challenge - although, it sounds like Legend will provide enough challenge without the aid of a sub par team.

it may be the Milwaukee uniforms. They suck @ss.

sorry for the rant. The Brewers were my team (from New Berlin), however after Selig fired Trebelhorn, moved the team out of the American League, eliminated their uniforms (and logo) and abandoned County Stadium, i had to find a new team.

If were to select franchise mode, then would prolly select the Kansas City Royals, and attempt to return them to the top. Would not be able to pick my Yankees. As it would be no fun.

sorry.... a bit off topic but ur pic is bad a**, last year i couldnt play as the Brewers because their stadium didnt seem realistic to me, but this yr they fixed Bernie the Brewer and their stadium looks sick with the new lighting..... GO BREW CREW

I guess the closest thing to a home team for me would be the Padres, but geez it's lucky if they win 40 games this year. Just a bunch of players I have no real feelings for. Well, I do for Brian Giles and I intend to put a lot of "booing" in the game for that pumped up bully.

I'm going with the Nationals because they wear a cap of one of my favorite teams as a kid, the Washington Senators (loooooooooooooosers!), but I have more hope for them this year with them adding Dunn, who I've always liked, and Willingham. They should be more interesting this year.

I agree with you except for the County Stadium issue, that stadium had to go. We also went through a few logos and uniforms before we got to these which in my opinion are better than all the others except for the classic ball and glove logo.

I could never play a franchise with any team but the Reds. Because their my hometown/favorite team and I have followed them all my life. I couldnt keep my interest with another team because I wouldnt know the organization as much.

I havent played franchise mode in 2 years however, RTTS!

I'm in the same boat. I grew up an O's fan but after years of dealing with Angelos my patience has worn thin. I'm thinking of running with them for some challenge, but we'll see. I've also lived in Atlanta and St. Louis, last year I played with the Cards as they were middle of the road but still had some talent.

as far as County Stadium, we will probably end up 'agreeing to disagree'. The ability to add luxury boxes (with the current stadium) is one matter. However, the maintenance/upkeep of the former stadium had been ignored by Selig for years. To the point, when the new stadium was set to be built, County Stadium was delapitated. As planned, by Selig.

anyway, good luck to your team this year. Hopefully, they will continue to contend. The Milwaukee fans deserve it.

Yankees are my team and I never play as them. I prefer playing against them and trying to beat them. Although given the recent revelations about Aroid, I'm feeling now like my games with them weren't ever fair, and explains why I never win.

When I play a season/franchise I have to use my favorite team. I dont feel right playing all those games with another team. However when I play online I much rather use a different team. Dont know why but I always try to pick another team other then my team. Great thread.

I've only played with my Sox in the MVP-04/05 days.

In the show 08, I controlled them for a few games into a franchise, but it got boring, because I watch basically every game of the Red Sox, so I decided to go a different route and took a team from the NL to see some other stadiums and teams.

Longest franchise was with the Cubs.

One thing I couldn't do is to take another team from the AL East, it would kill me to batle against my sox 18-19 times a season.

In 09 it's gonna be a team of the following: Rangers, Royals, Dodgers, Giants or Braves

I always start off playing with Toronto, then in 2k9 ill use the tribe,
I stick with the team, especially if im only doing a 29 game season thing cuz they I can rebuild my teams.

This year will be no different, take the Jays get a hard difficulty play hard make moves when possible and see what happends.
What sux is like for this year Ill have to keep Shaun Marcum in the Minors cuz hes injured and out for the year, for all us toronto fans were going from having one of the best rotations to most likely a pretty terrible rotation after Doc Halladay

well I live close to Seattle and they are my favorite team but I always play with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in MLB 08 on my PSP(my 2nd favorite team), so I'll most likely do the same in 09 on PSP
