    MLB Rules Regarding Shelf Dates

To all of you who think we have any control over when or how early we ship - I have bad news for you... You're wrong.

I've read over and over in the now locked Roster Vault thread (along with others previous to it) that we can release the game whenever we want and that the MLB does not have any say in when we can or can not release the game - you could not be more wrong.

MLB FA Manager is likely in a different category because 1) it's not the mainline SKU and 2) it details the off season stuff... It makes sense for it to come out during the winter meetings. (pure speculation on my part, I don't know what kind of arrangement 2K has with the MLB)

The absolute earliest we can ship our mainline baseball SKU's is March 1st. This is mandated by the MLB. Please keep all marketing dictation theories, conspiracy talk, and whatever else you're guys may dream up to yourself unless you know what our deal with the MLB actually entails. I've never lied to you and I dont intend to start now.

Man. I have no clue how the Roster Vault thread went so wrong. But all in all, i like the new feature. IMO, anything more that we get is just icing on the cake

          I didn't know Kolbe.
Now I did not say anything about 2k either. That was someone else that mentioned that.

          Thanks for all your talents

Hi Kolbe while your talking conspiracies, ? did Lee harvey Oswald act alone and does Knight already have a 09 copy in which he is currently creating full minors as we speak ? jk

I dont know the reason they release their game Feb 13. All I know is the date that the MLB imposes upon us. I dont even know if the Stratomatic game is an officially licensed product.

I thought all this was common knowledge. Seems like we go through the same **** every year. Always someone has to pop off like they know more than the developers.

Strat-O-Matic is does not have an MLB license, just MLBPA. But if any baseball fan does not know the game, its a must...
