New QB Ratings. Who gets what?

So with the new ratings now added. How should each QB be rated in these new areas? Who is most deserving of each new rating?

I'll start off by saying that my boy Aaron Rodgers should get a very high rating in the throwing on the run area.

I know some of you can make the case for different QB's. So lets hear em.

I'll look for some video evidence here in a second. But I know some of you can make the case for different QB's. So lets hear em.

Re: New QB Ratings. Who gets what?

since QB is probably THE MOST important position in the game...getting the ratings right is no easy task

      consider...

*is it the player or the system?.....what would T.Brady look like in the DET offense?

*how many years are given to the rating?....are they weighted ratings?

*how does a type of D affect that player?......Trent Edwards clearly struggled against the 3-4

      just random thoughts
Bummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.

Well, most of the ratings are clear cut. Tom Brady going to DET is not going to worsen or improve his ability to throw on the run

I would try but going along with Donny's stretch of the ratings, I have no clue on how low & high these ratings are gonna be to actually think on how someone should be rated against someone else.

I'll have a crack at Tarvaris Jackson and Gus Ferrotte..

Gonna be hard though as there's nothing to use as a reference, but anyway here it is..

            Tarvaris Jackson

            1. Deep Ball Accuracy: 64
            2. Medium Passing Accuracy: 71
            3. Short Passing Accuracy: 81
            4. Throw on the Run: 82
            5. Play Action: 84

            Gus Ferrotte

            1. Deep Ball Accuracy: 68
            2. Medium Passing Accuracy: 74
            3. Short Passing Accuracy: 85
            4. Throw on the Run: 52
            5. Play Action: 71

Heck i'll have a crack at a couple more

            Tom Brady

            1. Deep Ball Accuracy: 93
            2. Medium Passing Accuracy: 95
            3. Short Passing Accuracy: 96
            4. Throw on the Run: 61
            5. Play Action: 80

            Ben Rothleisberger

            1. Deep Ball Accuracy: 90
            2. Medium Passing Accuracy: 88
            3. Short Passing Accuracy: 90
            4. Throw on the Run: 91
            5. Play Action: 88

Flame if you will, I don't have too much of an idea, just having a go.

Re: New QB Ratings. Who gets what?

Without using Donny's new rating theory:

              Tom Brady

              Short Accuracy: 98
              Intermediate Accuracy: 90
              Deep Accuracy: 95
Throw on the Run: I have no idea how these ratings will look. Should be low for Tom, though.
Play Action: Same as above, should be average for Tom.

                Not too bad at all!

Brady looked really close, Tarvaris might be a bit high. Big Ben looked close too.

I hope to give you guys a sample later in the week.

                  Haha awesome.

I'm use to the stats stuff, I do it here for my personal simulator I made for my favourite sport in Ausralia, Rugby League.

                  Looking forward to the examples.

Re: New QB Ratings. Who gets what?

                      Chad Pennington

                      1. Deep Ball Accuracy: 83
                      2. Medium Passing Accuracy: 92
                      3. Short Passing Accuracy: 94
                      4. Throw on the Run: 74
                      5. Play Action: 86

                      Chad Henne

                      1. Deep Ball Accuracy: 90
                      2. Medium Passing Accuracy: 90
                      3. Short Passing Accuracy: 94
                      4. Throw on the Run: 86
                      5. Play Action: 88

Keep in mind, I'm trying to stretch the ratings.

Pennington doesn't have a rocket arm, so that would affect his deep ball accuracy. He's supposedly in a rigorous off-season workout program, so please don't knock that number too low, Donny! Ha. I'm not saying Pennington will sling the rock Marino-style in '09, but he'll be effective.

Henne's current numbers are a little unknown since he hasn't played much in the NFL, but he had a solid year of development under Pennington. He's also looked good in the limited time we've seen him.

Hey, I might as well add one more name since Miami uses the Wildcat.

                      Ronnie Brown

                      1. Deep Ball Accuracy: 74
                      2. Medium Passing Accuracy: 84
                      3. Short Passing Accuracy: 88
                      4. Throw on the Run: 84
                      5. Play Action: 82

unfortunately I suck at this kind of thing so I will wait to see an example so i can use as baseline.
                        Because I can!
