Call me crazy but I think it's become cool to say that this game sucks.
I just read one too many, "Yeah, it sucks for all the reasons everyone else said and also cause it, like, you know, sucks. And, oh yeah, I'm personally offended by this game and how dare they put this on shelves?"

No offense, I just think it's become the topic to come on the site and be funny about. No worries, that's cool.

Hmmm...interesting. I would say it's about as trendy as people starting threads here with attempts at quasi-profound statements about how people are complaining for the sake of complaining.

I would also venture a guess and say the people who are complaining about this game are doing so because they are disappointed with it. Not the most poetic of notions, I know, but truth isn't always poetic...lol.

Also, for those who may in fact be "following a trend," there's a perfectly good way for VC to ensure that trend is no longer, well...trendy.

I think I get what you mean here. I am not saying the game is "great" but, it is good. There are many things that need to be addressed but, it is a large improvement from last season. I don't understand why NCAA Basketball by EA which was not great but a good improvement over the previous game is generally praised for it's improvements but, when 2k's MLB game does the same it is slammed for the things that it has wrong. I actually enjoy the gameplay I hope that the bugs get fixed with patches and such but, I respect the improvements and hate to say it but next year should be even better. I own an xbox and this is my only choice this season and I think if we stop comparing the game to the show so much it wouldn't be as bad in people's minds.

I don't agree. I think it's the opposite. I've seen a lot of people defend this game even when it comes to the obvious issues and calling people trolls when they say something negative.

People say it's a bad game because -- and let's get real here -- 2K has now released four extremely sub-par baseball games on the 360. People are FED UP. Think about it: this game represents FOUR YEARS of next-gen video baseball "advancement." 2K9 would have been considered passable as a first effort on next-gen systems. But four years later gamers are expecting a quality effort, and this game is far from that. It has some nice things about it, but the simple reality is that, once again and as usual, 2K released a game that appears to be 4-5 months away from being finished.

yeah man,when you cant even watch pitches online,due to the off sinc bull crap,then this is bad,then u say to yourself since online is crap,i will play offline,but then the cpu swings at everything in the strike zone,and this pisses you off,so then u say"oh i have an idea,I will just play in leagues online,this way i can edit my batting controls,and revert them back to classic controls,this way i can check my swing online,so im not swinging at bulll crap pitches because i have to",but they dont even let u change controls in leagues,so you stuck ethier planning on watching pitches,or swinging and just hopeing for a little contct!!!!!!!they need to fix this game bad,just let me hit classic online,so i can at least check swing,and fix the cpu aggresiveness,and this game becomes "pretty good",otherwise it is not!

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again: the information you can find on this website is second to none, but most of the time you have to fight through a lot of random complaints about just about every aspect of a game to find it.

Most of the folks who really like the game (such as I) are not spending as much time on the site because, well, we're busy playing the game (as much as time allows). Those who have experienced a significant problem come here to share the problem and/or vent or hope for a walk around or fix.

It makes perfect sense. It's not that it's cool, but it's how a board like this works. Human nature and all.

Alright, well, clearly my opinion is in the minority and accept my apology for any disruption.

I'm just one of those stubborn people who firmly believes that no manufacturer has any responsibility to do anything unless they make seatbelts or something that directly affects people's lives. I don't wanna be "quasi-profound", but this is a corporation existing in a capitalist system. That's how it works. They make a product, they try to make back what it cost them and keep their investors happy. If the investors and the customers aren't happy because the product is no good as is the case here, they stop buying the product and the company goes under. But to say that they somehow "owe us" a good product to me is wrong. They make it, it sucks, you don't like it, I TOTALLY feel for you and wish it wasn't like that. But to think they have a responsibility to make a good product, I don't know. Again, maybe I'm insane and I'm the onyl one who thinks this way. I just don't see it. A working product isn't an inalienable right. In fact, in most cases it's a rarity. Are they jerks for making it crap and pretending it's ready and good? Yeah, they are, I agree.

You know what's worse? The tools on X-Play that reviewed this game like it was the second coming of Pac-man. Did they simply not play it? Did they not know what to look for? Either way, it has killed X-Play's credibility for me. Not that i watched them that much to begin with.

Alright, sorry again if I angered anyone.

Lol. Yeah, posting your complaints on an internet forum is really cool. That's how I meet all the ladies.

I continue to come here and look at this stuff because I find it interesting, and because I am still hopeful that issues can get fixed. I think there is a difference between bringing up issues and even complaining, and simply bashing the game, and that's how you know which thread will get locked. Threads saying something like, "here's an issue, I have proof, I hope it gets fixed" tend to have good odds. Threads that say "This game f*cking suxxx because of this issue that everyone already knows about" don't have as good of a chance.

There are probably still people who just want to complain cause they don't have anything better to do, but I think at this point we've got people who are genuinely interested in this game and whatever issues they bring up are in spite of the fact that they still love this game.

Of course, I've been wrong before.
